Hello I stop in to sèe how well the dollar tree resin worked... I did notice that on the notebook cover that you need to fill the mold about 1/2 way up let that dry then put your paper cover in on top of the dry resin then pour more resin on top till full. Oh you dont have to let the resin dry to hard it probably best to be a little tacky. The paper cover is big and thick which is why your having a hard time covering the whole thing evenly. To use a paper cover that big it will need to be done in 2 sections the first pour let get tacky or dry put cover on top of the tack resin and then pour again done put color or glitter in the resin before pouring. No need to wash the molds you do not want the resin to stick in the molds. The only reason you have problems with the pour was because of the big paper cover and it wasnt doneb in 2 sections... I never wash my mold i did see someone in the comment say wash them but Ive never washed mine and I use a baby wipe to wipe them out after use theb use a piece of tape before using to pull up any dusr fuzz and hair. Soap can me harsh on the molds some will leave a soap film so if you do decided to wash use a very diluted soap and water. Molds need to be easy to demold the resin shouldnt be sticking to the mold. Also Washing can make the mold dull which will make you resin pieces dull. When using resin you want your mold to be smooth shiny and translucent to give you resin pieces a high shine... I hope this info is helpful to you... Enjoyed watching your video Best Wishes

I know this is a year old and ive been looking this whole year for any resin stuff at my dollar trees. The only ones i found were the bracelet molds. I also found yesterday in the regular craft section for 1.25$ the same exact molds your showing for 3$. The coasters and all the jewelry molds are all now 1.25$

Yes, you should wash your molds first with dish soap. It conditions them. Also, I found that alcohol inks after being opened will leak out so make sure to secure them straight up. You did good!!😊

I have a question I see you have the coaster what side did you put the resin I want to put picture into I tried but I think I filled the wrong side could you help me you did a great job on your video

Lol it is confusing…turn the coaster mold so u see the deep sides-grooves- like an open border all around…but remember you are upside down so your picture would face down towards the table. In order to have a lip around your mold is upside down.

I tried putting pictures but it not working so I guess glue them on after I take the mold off .so then turn the mold upside down so don’t do it in the squares

I guess I’d have to know how it’s “not working” to really answer. You could do a layer of clear resin in the tray pert, let it set, put in your pic and then a layer to fill the rest of the mold. I’d search out some you tube videos that specifically use pictures to see all your options. I’ve also seen where the pictures either need to be laminated or sealed first to prevent discoloration. Don’t give up!!! So much fun in experimenting!!!

I hate when people making the videos keeps showing their hands ugh

Well….if you’re making things kinda hard not to show your hands…I hate when ppl are videoing in general and they point to things with their hands …so all you see is the person’s hands…and I catch myself doing it 🤦♀️

I hate when people who have no videos on their channel leave comments like this. Now, run along to YOUR channel and show us exactly how to make something without using your hands. I’ll wait… 🤦🏼♀️
