I used to think this song was produced by Trevor Horn, but it's all written and produced by themselves, which is not an easy feat. Really great 80s pop song.

I played bass along with this on countless occasions at home trying to emulate that great Musicman Stingray sound that I couldn't afford! Great sound on all of their stuff - particularly that produced by Trevor horn of course.

I put this on a pub internet jukebox that played album tracks (from the Platinum Collection), thought the regulars would enjoy it, even if wasn't what they'd listen to ordinarily. When it appeared in the play queue, someone loudly exclaimed DOLLAR?! NOT HAVING ANY OF THAT F****** w***! GET RID OF IT!!! This is ace, so feelgood, and they wrote it themselves, even if David is a knob.

Right! In a world of fucking Madonna queen of the talentless skanks that reaches right through to today, embarrassing Bee Gees twatty songs, crap Madness, Adam and the Ants, Sting, Weller, Phil Collins, Cure, rap and all the crap of today, last year, last decade, last 2 decades, and every year, that spastic calls Dollar crap! Get a life you fucking prick, whoever you are. HE should be got rid of. Get a reality check, bimbo. If I could have MY way for all the times I have to endure shit like Slagdonna, Pariah Carey and all the shit of 90s-through to now, I COULD BE-AND FUCKING SHOULD BE-BLOODY GOD!
@leepshin5 жыл бұрын
Oh David is so much the knob. I had the misfortune of meeting him backstage at a night club I worked in back in 1993. What an utter dick, so utterly full of himself. Thereza couldn't have been more charming and down to earth. A bit quiet to start but once you got her talking it was like night and day with "him". As far as personalities go they're like beauty and the beast with the only thing going for "it" was his singing voice. Thereza was still hot in 1993 as well. Despite being only 21 at the time, I would still have taken her home with me. lol

@leeengelsman63566 жыл бұрын
The simple answer is that the eighties were very tacky and gimmicky.
@halloweenville13 жыл бұрын
@@leeengelsman6356 By 1988, anything from 81 to 86 looked completely dated, the 80's changed styles and sounds quicker than any other decade. I can remember watching Whitney Houston's 1987 hit I wanna dance with somebody in 1989 and thinking, how dated and silly the whole thing looked, by 1990, the 80's seemed like a lifetime ago.
