What's interesting is the comparison between Marinette and Adrien's respective families. We can see how Marinette lives in such healthy family envirement, with her parents being so supportive and loving of her, while Adrien has a much distance and cold relationship with his dad. And let's not forget about their extended family. We already know Marinette's paternal grandparents and maternal great-uncle and she has a good relationship with them all. But when it comes to Adrien... Well, the more experienced Miraculers know what I am talking about... a certain someone with sticky fingers and basically the only character than can use his brain.

I'm gonna say a few things without spoilers, the main aim of this episode was to show that not anyone can be Ladybug, Marinette was chosen bc she is the most fit for that position. Then, Thomas confirmed that once you use the peacock miraculous there's no going back, your health will continue deteriorating through time and using it again just accelerates that process.

@@Bezaliel13 She didn’t screw up, she didn’t know it will go crazy. The episode painted her as this amazing holder doing both LB and CN job’s at the same time because his job is “too easy”. Yet the writers portrayed her as right and portrayed him as wrong… typical … Reflektdoll was terrible and truly downplays the role of half the team and pretends Cat Noir’s job is easy. She was terrible in this episode as well. The difference between how he treats her when she screws up or is struggling and how she treats him when he screws up or is struggling is like the difference between day and night. She’s snarky, belittling, doesn’t encourage him , rubs his failures in his face , downplays his role and makes fun of him and makes him lose confidence and feel worthless while he’s always encouraging, lifts her spirits, supportive and makes her believe in herself and do better. If he treats her like she treats him she would have given up being ladybug that very first day. It’s terrible. Also, imagine calling the role of someone who acts like your meat shield and sacrifices his life for you “easy” and downplay it and humiliate him in the process. This episode sends a very bad message wrapped up in a fake glittery disguise.

9:16 Okay, I haven’t seen anyone comment this yet. But the whole usual sequence of Marinette figuring out how to use the Lucky Charm isn’t actually a superpower that is specifically for Ladybug. Which is why Marinette is still able to figure it out. The whole blinking thing in the character’s aesthetic while everything is greyscale is just a visual representation for the audience to see the thought process of the character’s plan. Every character has that “ability” or that Ladybug Vision without being Ladybug which you will see in later episodes like Oblivio for it was confirmed by Thomas Astruc, the creator of Miraculous, in a tweet.

It's nice when the show changes up its formula. Having the two heroes switch costumes is super neat and gives you an insight into how they would use those particular powers if they had them personally. Plus also allows the characters to explain how their powers truly work without making it feel forced.

Juleka really does have a great lack of confidence. She is extremely shy, so much she almost always mumbles her words. But you will be surprised how much she can be confident when she puts her mind into it... especially in season 4. Also you haven't seen Mayura in the first episodes of this season precisely because the Miraculous is damaged. The reason why it is damaged is still a mystery, but you will get a clue near the end of season 3.

Juleka is best girl 💜 I really wish this show explore characters' mental states more because I would love to learn more about Juleka and her lack of confidence and anxiety. I'd love to learn more about Chloe and Adrien's similar yet different parental situations. I'd love to learn more about Sabrina and Chloe's friendship. I'd love to learn more about why Mari treats Adrien and her crush on him the way she does. I'd love to learn more about why Rose is so happy all the time. I'd love to know why Nathalie stays employed with Gabriel. I'd love to know more about Gabe and Emilie's relationship and why he's so hellbent on getting her back. I'd love to know more about Kagami's stoic nature. I'd love to learn why Luka is as emotionally intelligent as he is. There's so much I'd love to know and me realizing I wanted that kinda of all started with Juleka :)

In the reflekdoll episode, it was nice to see how they can switch up miraculous at times and see new hero forms. As for the Weredad episode, I love how the dad looks when he’s akumatized. What’s even more interesting was that it’s also a little homage to Beauty and the Beast story, what with the angry-like beast, the object being a rose, and solitude as well. The story was originally French so it makes sense a bit. Another fun fact is that with Weredad sounding like werewolf is actually based on a creature called The Beast of Gevuadon which is like a French werewolf of sorts. Ok so when a miraculous holder fully renounce their Kwami, then they go back into the miraculous Like for example: when Marinette started as ladybug for the first time, she failed for the first time and she didn’t capture the akuma of StoneHeart. And when she get down she quits being ladybug and took out her earrings and Tikki disappears. In season 2 The Collector or Queen Wasp, Gabriel renounced Nooroo to make sure his identity a secret so he akumatizes himself as the collector. And second when he failed so much and also failed with Style Queen that he thought would get the miraculous. he now quits being Hawkmoth and quits on Nooroo

Marichat is my favorite dynamic, cos its when both Marinette and Adrien are most free from the pressures they put on themselves. I know there's the whole 'love square who do you ship' thing in the fandom but I really just don't feel that - they are the same people, just showing different sides of themselves when they're wearing different clothes lol. Also this episode is why a lot of the fandom thinks (or at least thought - I don't know if that theory is still going now, but it was BIG for a while there) Marinette's mom knows what's up.

I don't know why Hawk Mouth would akumatize a baby for a third time. The first time was an accident, though he still rolled with it. The second time was heroes day, fair enough the scarlet akumas were all on auto pilot. But why this time? Gigantitan is powerful and the heroes have trouble defeating him, but it's next to impossible to keep him on task and I don't even think he has the dexterity to remove the miraculous.

Did it have the best animation of the four seasons? Also no 😅 But did it have some of the most interesting concepts of the four seasons so far? Most likely. S2 is still probably my favorite season so far, with S1 right behind it (easily some of the cutest Marinette moments in the show 🥰). That puts S4 at third. It would have easily stolen S1's spot if it latched on to more of the introduced concepts and expanded on them more but oh well. I can't say for sure but I feel like some people who like or love S4 like it because of the concepts themselves, not necessarily their execution.

Something that REALLY upset me of the first episode zamber watched is how the writers made ladynoir as experienced as she was as ladybug while they completely dumbified misterbug. The way they made her already know how to use the cat miraculous WHILE ALSO teaching misterbug how to use the ladybug. Like excuse me? They couldve done them being both struggling and misterbug helps her loosen up, and also make misterbug naturally already know how the lucky charm works because he's seen it before and wouldn't need her to tell him how it works, she could give him advice. And the way Zamber in overall called misterbug "corny" while she instead praised ladynoir made me pretty sad because if the writers didn't keep forcing to make Adrien, the SECOND MAIN CHARACTER, into a SIDE CHARACTER he'd actually be pretty capable and not be seen as corny

I love the episode Reflekdoll because I loved the transformations that appeared when Adrien and Marinette got their miraculous and their kwami switched especially Marinette's her transformation looked so cool. Also Adrien and Marinette looked so cute and pretty in the striped shirts with the green earrings and the red berets. Also love Weredad because it's great seeing Marinette and Cat noir together again and the kiss was good.
