At long last, I bought two of your books and received them today. I'm like a child at Christmas. I was dreading the expensive postage from the USA and continuously postponed. But I persevered this time and it is worth every cent. Thank you for your dedication in compiling it so in-depth. I will treasure it always. And of course, ill be using it to fill up my dollhouse.

I've already made two of your fabric shopping bags with happy results, I'll have to give this a try too! I'm so glad your instructions are detailed and we'll measured, I get so frustrated with tutorials that are hard to follow because they zip along so quickly. This design could be adapted to many things, maybe even a pet carrier. Perhaps you could use some kind of mesh at both ends after you've inserted a little critter! Anyway, thanks for another great tutorial!
@JulieWarren2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Peggy. I love your suggestions, especially the pet carrier! :)

I was thinking a mesh pocket (tulle perhaps?) On the end for a can of soda or other things to keep handy as you travel.

What type of glue did you use for this project? This is a lovely overnight bag❤

I used Gorilla wood glue, which works really well with fabric. :)

I told my husband that I want a dollhouse. He was very confused by that but I told him adults have them too. As an artist, I’ve always loved working small. There is just something so calming about dollhouses. I want to pick out all of the accessories and decorate the rooms so badly! I want to decorate the dollhouse for holidays as well and display it in my entrance foyer. My problem is that I don’t think I have the ability to build one from a kit. Ideally I wouldn’t want to spend more than $200 since my husband and I are on social security. Is there anything you can suggest? I’ve looked on EBay and can’t find anything.
@JulieWarren2 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad you're excited about entering this wonderful hobby. I'm not sure of anywhere that sells dollhouses in that price range, but it's worth keeping a lookout on Ebay (you might spot a bargain one day!) or at garage sales in your area. Alternatively, you could start with a room box, which are easy to build from scratch. That way, at least you'll be able to make a start on some furniture and miniatures! Happy Miniaturing. xx

@@JulieWarren I just got a gorgeous dollhouse on Facebook marketplace for $80. Besides a few missing shingles it’s in almost perfect condition and even has electric. I don’t think the person selling it had a clue how much she could get for it. I feel like I got the biggest bargain ever!!!
