Hi Julie, thank you, I am new to doll houses and have been watching most of your dh diary. Learning lots, I have the dhd Belmont and plan to add a bathroom like you have done. My question is regarding flooring. When you are fitting the floors you completely cover the floor with glue. Is it just preference you do this opposed to a blob of glue in each corner and in the middle, making it easier to remove when you fancy a change?

Hi J, yes, if you think you will be renovating in the future, it's probably best not to glue the entire area.

Thank you so much. It's all down to practice, so just keep going! I have loved dolls houses and miniatures since I was a child. My husband bought me an adult dolls house for my 29th birthday, and that's where it all started really! :)

Hi again, say Julie what would you suggest to someone who wanted to start small with doll house making? What project would you suggest?

Hi Deborah, I would recommend you start with a room box. Choose a size that suits you and go from there. A room box will give you a real feel for the hobby and you'll learn a lot, too. Take a look at my kitchen room box series, for inspiration. xx

That little bag should be out in full view. Sit it on top of the desk ..make another one that's not so darn cute you can hide...

It would be a bit too bulky to go on the desk. Don’t be afraid of tucking away a detailed piece, it all adds to the realism. 😊
