They did two albums: Trio and Trio II. They're both good, but I like Trio II the best. The song "High Sierra" is a real showcase for their harmonies - but all the harmonies are good.

I personally have trouble deciding who has the most beautiful voice as well as the most beautiful face. :) Maybe Dolly for each, but Emmylou was really my "type". All three so beautiful and talented. You might enjoy Linda's music from the 70's which I think was her career height.

They DID do an album together (two albums as a matter of fact) and the albums DID sell millions of copies. The song I like the most by them is "Those Memories of you Still Haunt Me". They collaborated on these two albums and still managed to maintain their careers as solo acts. I'm glad you can appreciate good music even if it is a genre to which you do not usually listen. Great reaction. I'm a new subscriber from Nashville.

I think it's about time for someone to react to Emmylou Harris. I think you'll really enjoy a song she wrote called "Boulder to Birmingham" in memory of her partner, Gram Parsons, who died in 1973. Without Gram, Emmylou had to make it on her own, and she did! Linda Ronstadt was a true friend to her during this difficult time. In an interview I saw, Emmylou stresses that she didn't achieve success alone, and she gives credit to all the people who helped her. Here's a live version of this song: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKLSopZqjbyja80

Check out "Sweet Spot" a duet by Emmylou Harris an dLinda Ronstadt released much later in 1999. It's really different- much less "gospel", way more contemporary and really good. Also, everyone on that stage is next, next level amazing. That's like the "National Treasure Tour" right there.

My favorite trio song is kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWO7lHWCa9CKpJo. It’s from Trio 2, performed live on Letterman. Linda is suffering from Parkinson’s and no longer sings. She was always a perfectionist and can no longer meet her own standards. Personally I think Linda with Parkinson’s is probably better than a lot of of others when they were at their peak. But it ain’t my choice and I have to respect her decision.
