The three of them harmonized beautifully together. I remember during an interview for their "Trio" album they harmonized a hymn, acapella. Absolutely Angelic! Unfortunately, Linda Ronstadt no longer sings; she has Parkinson's Disease & it affected her vocal cords. She not only sang contemporary songs like "Blue Bayou" but also made Spanish albums (she's part Mexican). Dolly Parton is Dolly Parton, need I say more. Emmylou Harris is such an underrated singer. You should react to her songs... "All My Tears (Be Washed Away)" & "Deeper Well" from her "Wrecking Ball" album. They will make the hair stand up on your arms & bring tears to your eyes.

They performed together on Dolly's show in the 1979sca few times, but label issues and schedule conflicts leftbuscwith only two albums by Trio (them), one in 1987 and the other in 1999. Emmylou has the ability to harmonize with anyone and is why she has worked with so many other singers. Check out "Evangeline" by The Band with Emmylou Harris from The Last Waltz, basically a music video directed fir a movie by Martin Scorsese.

@@normawinton6832 In 2019, they determined Linda actually has Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a neurodegenerative brain disease, for which there is no cure & no effective treatment or management. Early symptoms are so similar, it’s often misdiagnosed as Parkinson’s & is sometimes referred to as “Atypical Parkinsonism”, but it’s a distinctly different disease which progresses faster, causes more severe & differing symptoms, responds poorly to medication & has a reduced life expectancy. So very sad.

The 3 of them performed this song together on Dolly's show in 1976. They later collaborated together on a few albums. The first Trio album from 1987 is great & showcases the lovely voices of these talented ladies. Lots of great songs such as "To Know Him Is To Love Him", "Telling Me Lies", "Those Memories Of You", "Wildflowers" etc. They did a 2nd album Trio II in 1999. It also has many hit songs such as "After The Goldrush", "Do I Ever Cross Your Mind", "Feels Like Home" etc.

"Telling Me Lies" is my favorite cut off of the "Trio" album. I didn't realize, until I saw Harris & Ronstadt sing it live, that Harris actually sang the end of the song... the highest notes. Apparently, her vocal range is/was higher than Ronstadt's. Regardless, it's a great song.

I always thought "Feels Like Home" should be a top contender for anyone's first dance at a wedding. All of their songs are so good, though. "He Rode All the Way to Texas" seems like the country/folk answer to the Carpenters' "Superstar" and their harmonies in the Trio II version are amazing.

The first song that Linda and Aaron ever tried to sing together was, “Ava Maria”. They wanted to try singing something together, and both attended Catholic schools. It was the first song that each knew the other could sing, automatically. Check it out on KZbin, it’s breathtaking.

They do an incredible version of Neil Young’s song “After The Goldrush”. There’s an official video, but the live version on Letterman’s The Late Show is even better.

A son was in prison. His mother goes to visit him and tells the warden that she loves him, it doesn't matter to her what he did. She brought him the greatest gift: a Mother's smile.
