We lost another member of this beautiful circle on October 4th. The Coal Miner’s Daughter, Loretta Lynn, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 90. Country music won’t be the same without her!

My late uncle, Glenn Barber, was a country singer in the 1960’s - 1970’s. In 1972 his song, "Unexpected Goodbye" became a “Top 30 hit.” While with him on various tours, I met several entertainers behind stage such as Bill Andersen, Johnny Cash, Randy Travis and others for which I only now fully appreciate these rare moments. In the late ‘70’s he was performing at the Grand Ole Opry for which I had the opportunity to go on stage with him. It was amazing seeing the crowd from the stage and to see the very casual action behind the scenes. This was a chance in a lifetime event for which I am most grateful to have been given.
