Little Sparrow is the thirty-eighth solo studio album by American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton. It was released on January 23, 2001, by Sugar Hill and Blue Eye Records. The album received a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album and "Shine" won Best Female Country Vocal Performance. The album is dedicated to Parton's father, Lee Parton, who died in November 2000.

She hadn't written it that long ago. After her wonderful 2000 album '''''the Grass is Blue", she wrote songs for her second bluegrass/mountain music album which was titled "Little Sparrow." She has written similar songs thru the years. You should listen to the 1970 song "Down from Dover" which was a masterpiece ... and the original is better than the newer versions she has recorded.

She is such an amazing talent. I bought my first.Dolly album when I was 21 years old and that was in 1975. How I wish she would just use a simple short wig, ditch the high heals and get rid of those implants. She is so beautiful without all that junk.
