Dolly Parton sings with her family in the 1970's. This includes her brother Randy Parton who just passed away from cancer.

Dolly is truly a family oriented person. Having her parents and siblings doing a singing stint with her speaks volumes of her personality. .

Most families in the South when they had children they all sing together and work together and stay together as a family. And it was more than just a tradition. may God bless her and the whole family. ❤✝️🕊🙏🎼🎶🎵🎸🎻

What a huge treat! After all the years of listening to Dolly, I had never seen her parents, let alone heard them sing! It was so fun to see all of the siblings singing together like they did at home growing up. What a nice family. Thank you for posting. 🤍

Love and laughter in a family. That's how I grew up. Hard work, music and laughter, not extra money. I feel saddened that there are families that didn't have this. It's priceless.

Floyd and Freida were always really close. I went to school with both of them and was in a classroom where they had two grades in one room I was a year ahead of them. I remember our teacher wanted to separate them so Floyd went to a different classroom and Freida cried so hard. I felt so bad for them. The teacher brought them back together and she was happy when our teacher done that. They had a close bond with each other. I know Freida misses Floyd. I am sorry about the loss of both Randy and Floyd. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I was in high school with Randy, such a sweet boy, the whole family was. I remember Dolly's grandmother who used to sit in a small caffe all day long. Tiny little pale thing with what looked like a foot of teased black hair. The whole family was a joy to know.

I want to express all my regards and love for your family. Randy was my friend in Roanoke Rapids NC and I actually played some music with him. Auditioning for his band I didn’t fit in but Randy made me feel like that I was special. He assured me that I had great talent and being a musician all the years that I had in the profession I could tell he wasn’t pulling my leg. Randy you were special and thatTennessee spirit was strong in you as it is in my own family. God bless your family my friend.

I absolutely loved it when she was aggravating her Daddy about the song “Little Brown Jug” and he said, “Oh I know that one well” insinuating that he liked to drink. Dolly laughed and looks at her mom and said, “You sure you want us to leave that in here?” Her mom had a shy laugh and said with a very country voice, “Leave that right in thar!!” Lol I love how she said, “There”.

It’s this kind of humble song that was sung on countless porches, in tiny churches back up in the hollers, or out in people’s yards that reminds me of simpler, quieter times. The unshakable faith in God, who got them through their hard times, is present in these songs. Thank you for playing Dolly and the Parton family, here. I’m at peace for today.

I watched this just after watching Celine Dion lead her whole family through a rigodon. That makes eleven minutes of straight grinning ear to ear. As the third in a family of eight kids, these might be my favorite videos of famous singers.

Is there any more of Dolly’s family singing? My oldest brother was born in 46 and I was born in 64. There was 8 kids but 2 of us came later and there’s 8 years between us it was 3b and 3g then 4 of each but my older siblings would say that my dad would sing. It was in the late 70’s and the Wilburn Brothers Show and the song Red River Valley came on and I heard my dad sing it and damn he was a good singer and yet I had never heard him sing before or after till he died.
