Awesome video!! The deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes would be exactly what we would go for. The fried chicken looked amazing. I reality hate when a dish doesn't live up to the name or taste like you hope it would. This happened to us recently, though I can't remember where right now. Sweet Tea Pork Chops sounds interesting, though. The breakfast looked pretty nice as well. I love smoked salmon and a good charcuterie. The grits were doomed here. I'd try Shrimp & Grits next time you are in the South, but I'm not sure if Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge is the right area for that. They can be great, unless they have a tomato base. I'm not a fan of that style. Come to think of it, I may have had Shrimp & Grits at Anakeesta and remember them being decent. Nowhere near the best, but acceptable for sure. Not sure if you were able to experience Anakeesta, but it's our favorite place in that area. Highly recommend.

I have never ordered a deviled egg at a restaurant and have never seen variations to them. Very interesting. The fried green tomatoes look great. Stay out of his potatoes!! lol I've never had collards either and I think I'd be a little disgusted by them as well. lol Grits with cheese seems so weird, not sure I would like that. We would definitely go there for dinner if we ever head that way. Awesome video, like 96, thanks for sharing!!

Loved the Christmas tree! Although we won't be staying at the lodge, this is something to consider the next time we're in the Pigeon Forge area. We usually go for the touristy places with dinner shows, but they are always a lot of fun! The Deviled Eggs Three Ways look good to me. The cheddar biscuits also look tasty. Real talk, although I think I prefer the overall vibe and ambience of the DreamMore Resort to Heartsong, the restaurants at Heartsong seem to be even better than those at DreamMore! 😍 Fried Green Tomatoes are one of our favorite small dishes of all time, you literally can’t go wrong. I’m not much of an egg fan but even the deviled eggs looked positively delicious and flavorfully prepared! Hot honey shrimp sounds amazing. I actually don’t blame Greg for defending his entrée from the traditional wife tax 😜 in his shoes, I would want every last bite! Haha but I’m sure yours was just as good, Meg. This looks like a must-try spot for the next visit to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, however distant that future may be! 😁 Great video, as always!

What a great review! We will definitely eat at Ember & Elm when we make it to Dollywood. The appetizers looked very good and is a cool concept offering 3 different types of deviled eggs. I’m not a green tomato fan however have never tried them fried. Both of your entrees looked phenomenal. The breakfast options looked nice. Dinner looked so delicious! Greg’s chicken OMG! Pickle brined sounds so good! How does it compare to Chef Art Smith’s chicken? Meg, your pork chop looked really good too. The breakfast continental breakfast is what I would have went for as well. Greg’s breakfast looked amazing too but I like more of a light small bites kind of breakfast like you had Meg. Charcuterie for breakfast 😂that’s how I would roll. I have to be in the right mood for grits. They aren’t my go to even as a southern girl. When I do eat them they have to be very cheesy, salt and pepper are a must as well. I like sausage gravy as well (and no, lol not good for you at all) but I’ve had horrible sausage gravy too. I know I would love both breakfast and dinner at Ember & Elm. Awesome review guys 😊💕

That pickle brined chicken beat Chef Arts for me BUT - Homecomin’ overall still beats this spot for me. As much as I enjoyed my meal here Homecomin’ is still superior for sure. I should have added salt and pepper and see if i liked it a bit better on the grits. Hi there! Thanks for this informative presentation. The ambience appears to be upscale without being pretentious. The meals appear to be a delicious treatment of food we might eat on a daily basis. I like to enjoy grits with sugar, raisins or bananas, and a little cinnamon - it is a nice alternative to oatmeal. There seems to be lots of options here for everyone to find something that they enjoy - I would definitely eat here. It is always nice to see you, continue to enjoy your life. Have a terrific week! Both the dinner and breakfast look delicious and have some cute creations. Particularly the breakfast buffet. Grits are not a thing for us in the UK either, maybe I need to try them out one day too! You were lucky to be able to get in there to try it during its soft openings.

The food looked really good but it makes me feel like I've failed as a Southerner! I don't like grits either and I've never tried Fried Green Tomatoes.... I also hate pimento cheese but I can't eat peppers so that's my excuse! That fried chicken and mashed potatoes looked incredible! And everything on the continental buffet looked great.
