We had reservations for breakfast one morning back in Fall of 2021. After checking out the spread, we decided to forfeit our reservation and go elsewhere. Maybe we caught them on a bad day or bad timing. That whole area is not exactly our favorite when it comes to food, but I'd assume Song & Hearth is way better than the Chocolatier.😂 Given the options in the area, I would be willing to give this another shot. The ribs, salmon, chicken and macaroni all looked good, as did the dessets that you were too full to try. 😂 I can probably count on 1 hand the number of restaurants we actually enjoy between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I do love the area, though. I see it as a giant theme park, so my expectations are adjuted accordingly. There are a few gems, however. There are also places I have yet to visit. Hopefully, we will be back by Fall again. Thanks for this very insightful video!!!

So many good things to eat at Song and Hearth. New to southern fried tomatoes. Will have to try that. I'm always surprised you guys wearing white clothing and eating having had many spills myself. Sean LOVES a buffet! It is about the only place I can get Sean to go out to. Hi Meg and Greg! I loved that it was warm and cozy, especially on a cold, rainy day. For me, there's nothing worse than sitting in a cold restaurant that is stark and doesn't have a warm ambiance. The food options were various, and it was good to see that they also offered gluten-free food. I've never tried fried green tomatoes - glad to hear you found them delicious! This restaurant looks so epic. So dramatic and the food looks really good. I have grown to love the collard greens living in the south. This ribs looked great, I would have done the same with a plate. And the cobbler was perfect. Definitely a hearty place for dinner. Chow chow is like pickles and stuff? Ahh no room for dessert? Oops. We did Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner back to back to back during our stay at the DreamMore, and I definitely think that dinner was the best of the three! Dolly never lets a bad biscuit hit a plate anywhere on her properties. Greg! 😂 “This one tastes like granite” haha believe it or not, I’m not a huge fan of buffet dining…but I’d definitely dine at Song & Hearth again! Great video, guys! Song and Hearth Buffet looks like they have a lot of good quality options to choose from. The restaurant does look very cozy. I agree with Greg…. A whole plate of ribs… yes!! If and when we hit up a buffet I typically load my plate with all the proteins and certain seafood. I love a good bread pudding so I would have had to at least got a spoonful. I feel the buffet is a good value for the dollar and are glad you’ll showed us around. 👍🏻👍🏻

Oh man, this buffet looks like a must try! If I'm ever in Dollywood, this will definitely be on our radar! SO many different choices! I'm not a buffet guy either, I used to be when I was smaller. The ribs sound delicious, I need some of that soup hehe... salmon looks great, mac and cheese, fried chicken.. looks like they're all hits!! Too bad you guys had no room for desserts lol that's the problem with buffets 😅

I was going to say the food looks really great for a buffet and then you said pretty much the same thing. The surroundings looked pretty impressive too. You always have to save some room for dessert tho. Then again I usually starve myself for the day before I go, which is good advice. That way you get your monies worth, which seems reasonable here for its location 👍

Sounds so awesome! Dunno if I could eat that much. I was a big eater in my teens, 20s, and first half of my 30s (still am sometimes but back then I was like Garfield). I'm reminded of when back in 2001-2002 I was part of a choral group/choir that was among the finalists for winning awards at a national adjudication held at Myrtle Beach. We ended up winning 14 awards. One of the places we went (others had the same idea it seemed) was a place called the Dixie Show Stampede with Dolly Parton hosting the show. It was fun. It even had old south architecture so I felt like I was dining in a museum, which was cool. One of the delights was a huge meal. First we had a big bowl of soup, I think broccoli cheddar, then we had our main meal, a whole baked potato, a whole rotisserie chicken (like the size you get at Sam's Club), several big slices of ham with southern gravy, a pile of mashed potatoes, and there were veggies too, I think green beans, and we finished with a slice of apple pie. We were still young men and women back in early 2002 and so we had big appetites, I only weighed about 200 pounds at the time (that was right around the time I'd really gotten into powerlifting so it wasn't all chub, at my peak I could lift a 100 pound dumbbell overhead like it was a toy with one hand and could deadlift 455 pounds to my waist with two hands and bench about 275, however I can't say the same about now, haven't done much working out since I was about 35, I need to fix that, probably tons of rust has set in since, I doubt I could even lift the 100 pounder past my waist, maybe my shoulder with an assist from the other hand and could maybe deadlift 225 and bench 135, and then I'd regret it for two weeks). I ate the entire "old time Southern supper" and still had room for more, others were either stuffed or didn't finish it. What surprised me is that the next table over there was this pretty young woman from Connecticut who was maybe 130 pounds tops but ate the entire meal. I was impressed and shocked. That meal was my highlight of the trip. I remember coming home and telling my parents and siblings all about it, they laughed at how the first thing I mentioned was the meal, they were like "oh, typical Matthew, thinking about food". Because I was like Homer Simpson at a buffet, I often had to be talked out of grabbing the serving tray and eating that, haha.
