I am totally blown away....after watching B&B all these years I never even knew that Ron Moss was a member of Player, let along sang ....Wow....I have always loved Player and watching Peter Beckett at the end of the song Baby Come Back always sent my heart racing....ooooh Baby....lol...Keep on sing guys cause your music is still better than anything out today ❤️

So many golden memories come alive hearing this dulcet melody. I was to leave my home to join my new job in June1978 when this song hit the pop charts. I kept humming it on my mind again and again. The song still rings a bell. Kudos to Player for the melody that is still pristine since 46 years.

All these years later, and the vocals are still awesome. Player: one of the top soft rock/easy listening acts in pop music. These guys did well in their hey day, but still underrated. This is a really nice find. Thanks to whomever took the video and posted it.

I just found out that Ronn Moss was the lead singer in Player! I had no idea. He was awesome on the Bold and the Beautiful. I knew he did music but I didn't know he was in Player. I had to go and see all the old album covers, and there Ronn is, front and center! One of my favorite actors. He sounds and still looks great.

@@rbccawilson If you had Players first album (Player)and 2nd album (Danger Zone) J.C Crowley and Peter Beckett were co-lead singers . The only song Ronn Moss sang was on PLAYER the debut was Tryin' To Write a Hit Song. Beckett actually became the singer after Crowley left to pursue Country Music which were his original roots. Third album Room with a view and Fourth album Spies Of Life are vocally all Beckett but those albums tanked, there was no tour for either album. 14 yrs later Beckett/Moss reunite as Player their 5th album (1996) Lost In Reality has a new version of Baby Come Back and Ronn Moss is the co-lead singer on this album along with Beckett. I still have the original 4 albums and Cassette of the 5th. It was never all Peter Beckett.

It was a package tour with multiple bands (including Player, Orleans, Firefall, Christopher Cross, Gary Wright and Robbie Dupree). Orleans members acted as the backing band for all the acts.

J.C. Crowley is not in this scene at all, David. J. C Crowley left Player in 1979 (To later do country music) and though he didn't return , the band continued as a trio for 1980s ROOM WITH A VIEW and Ronn Moss quit in 1981 and Peter Beckett with drummer John Friesen added 2 new members Miles Joseph(guitar) (RIP) And Rusty Buchanan (Bass) for their 4th album SPIES OF LIFE . Though J.C was out of Player , he did write a song called ID RATHER BE GONE and it's on the SPIES OF LIFE album sung by Beckett. Between 1994 to 1999, J.C. Crowley won a battle with throat cancer. He released a few country albums in 1988-89 and the songs /videos are on KZbin. All 4 of Players original albums can also be heard on KZbin. Crowley is now 75 years old and seems to be doing well.
