Well Tom it looks a grand place to stay, and are so glad you both enjoyed your stay, i enjoyed seeing the water lilies because it brings back many memories when we used to grow them for the pond trade. We've never been to Portugal ourselves, maybe one day, LOL. Our Claire and husband fly to Rome tomorrow.

Thanks Chris. Vilamoura is a wonderful spot. Flowers galore. Shops, eateries, endless marinas, endless beaches. Palms trees swaying and prices are of too. I would recommend it to anyone. But as on all of these Med holidays it is hot, hot, hot.

Oh a grand time P. We discovered the International Evangelical church 6 miles away at Loole, too. The leaders are from N Ireland. Really really good place of to spend Sunday morning. We took a taxi. They run Bible 1 and 2 year theology courses and bring in lecturers from all over.

I stayed in that hotel Tom over 30 years ago. The place was much different in those days.

Yes Michael it is a great spot. We were there before about 7 years ago. They are still building hotels along the beach nearby. Vilamoura was only envisaged as a tourist resort in the early 1960s. Before that there was nothing really. Quateria was and still is a fishing port. It was the main centre of population in the area pre 1960.
