S24 seems soft in low light, and shadows, to me. Nice video! And for someone who is more indoors than out, pixel seems better for clarity. Seems like it is a factor of what matters to the user.

Pixel is really Good. But I like both. S24 is a bit flatter with less contrast, showing more details in shadows by not crushing it

Having both phones (S24U since launch, P9P since launch), each have their give and take. I would trust my S24U with better zoom and video taking. I took some amazing live concert videos (Dan+Shay) that both looked and sounded great from being over 50 rows away. However this last example was my biggest gripe: The days before my engagement, I was trying to send a picture of the ring to family. It was last minute before leaving for work so I ran inside, grabbed the ring, ran outside for sunlight pictures. The P9P really, and I mean REALLY struggled to take decent photos and videos. It would constantly lose focus and the picture quality looked pretty rough. Only out of frustration and due to lack of time did I run back inside, grab my S24U and was able to grab beautiful pictures and video that showed off the ring spectacularly. I found that the S24U was just better for me 9/10 times. I do love the form factor and quick ease of use for P9P. But that last instance was really annoying. And when I take pictures of our animals, I feel like the S24U has better colors, depth, and hair sharpness.

Samsung and true to life are never ever in the same sentence and I own both. Samsung over exposes everything and makes everything bright and pretty. Pixel is always true to life and more natural.

I tried to use the s24 Ultra but went back to the iPhone after the s24 ultra failed me time after time in capturing photos of my family. I used camera assist and pro mode to speed up the shutter speed and capture on press but the results were still poor. The software just isn’t optimized to capture moving objects it seems. Went to the Pixel 9 Pro XL and super happy with my decision to do so. The P9P software seems to be able to really utilize the hardware onboard.
