This channel is so specific. Pretty interesting video. This wine looks delicious, "etheral frame" sounds good to me ^ ^ I will taste my first Bourgueil tomorrow evening with my family, I chose it, I wanted to taste a wine from the Loire, which I never had. My mother doesn't drink red wine though, only white. I like wine videos it's kind of relaxing most of the time. Cheers from France (edit : the "c" is silent in "franc", I know you probably know that, I don't want to be rude)

Love this Domaine's wines but I've not had Clos Nouveau... Yet

I believe they have good UK distribution, so it is worth trying to track down. Not sure what the retail would be though. Definitely worth trying if you come across it! 😁

@@cabfrancchronicles the Domaine certainly is well distributed, but i don't think much Clos Nouveau makes it to our shores 😢

Hi Allison, please help a novice! Why is the wine held in stainless after 24 months in oak? I guess I’m curious as to the purpose of further maturation in stainless after oak barrels. How does this enhance the flavor profile? Thank you!

Hi Michael! Thank you for your question. Generally when a wine is aged in multiple barrels (in this case probably about a dozen or so), it can be helpful to let the wine from each of those barrels "marry" in tank or another vessel for a bit of time before bottling. Each individual barrel gives its own unique character to the wine, so that time in tank would help the various profiles from each barrel become more integrated and seamless. The length of time is a question of personal preference and when the winemaker feels the wine is "ready" to be bottled. I hope this helps! Thank you as always for your support and taking the time to watch! 😄🙏❤

@@cabfrancchronicles Thanks, Allison. That explains it perfectly. BTW, last night I had a couple of glasses of Arnaud Lambert’s Cremant de Loire (100% Cab Franc). Wonderful stuff! Cheers😁

yay! Happy to help! 😁 I love Arnaud's approach to sparkling, but I am embarrassed to admit I haven't tried his rosé bubbles yet. It is a tough one to find where I am. But I have had his other crémant, which was divine! If you love Arnaud Lambert, stay tuned as I have a special double header coming up! 🤩 Cheers to you and thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support! 🙏@@michaelfarrell7161
