Knowledge is always there and we need to remove sheaths of ignorance so that knowledge gets manifestation.

Does praying actually work? For getting something? Maybe in a devotional kind of way it's good? But to pray to get an object ?

Hi Tina, thanx for your question. My thoughts on this relating the teaching of vedanta - Ishvara is the one, who is responsible for the results of our actions, including prayers. Karma Yoga is the attitude, in which our actions can be giving to the whole. It's not trading or expecting, it is contributing in thankfulness. Your contribution will be responded everytime, in a way we expect it or in another. Trust is a good companion on our way. Trust in, that it always will be the right and only possible response in this moment and situation. All the best! Tom
