I've had an ARB fridge hard wired in my Tacoma for the last 2 years. When I'm not camping, I keep it stocked with cold drinks which I buy at Costco which saves me a ton of money instead of buying cans of pop when I'm at a gas station. Plus there's the cool factor when people see I have a real refrigerator in my truck. 98% of people around don't know about these things.

This is an excellent video because I think in terms of size and amp hours which does my wife’s head in, but your video puts it in terms of what she’s concerned about which is to bottom line it, “How much food will we get in it?”. Rarely for me Just ordered the Dometic CFF45 just iff off the back of the online revies Dometic seem to have raised their game since buying Waeco and at $529 AUD, I felt it was worth risking Similar to what you guys have. Just without the “bells and whistles”

It's surprising how much food these can hold isn't it? Love mine but ever since I bought it (new) it's been making this sort of higher pitch squeaking/rattling sound, sort of like a worn out bearing or something, when it kicks on. It's a lot louder than my big chest freezers in the garage. Does yours make the same sort of noise? I'm trying to figure out if it's normal or not. Thanks

DO you think 45L might have been too big for your 4Runner? it seems like 45L version would still fit in your vehicle.

The 45L would totally work, just with kids and the trips we do right now we need as much extra space as possible. Maybe when they are older we will upgrade😊

I’ve been drawing about 480 over a 24 hour period in an uninsulated van that gets pretty hot during the day, temps inside fridge vary from 34 near the bottom to as high as 39 near the top. No case.

You can put as many drinks as you want in there. If you need more room get a bigger fridge. This video is for people who may be considering this size, and if they think there won’t be enough room, then they don’t have to go through the trouble of making a mistake buying the wrong one. We also store our water in a 20L jug, so no worries about that taking up any room.
