How Much Food Can You Pack in the Dometic CFX3 35L Fridge

Whilst reorganising my Dometic CFX3 Fridge I thought it would be interesting to show how much food it can actually hold. So far the fridge has been great for full time living in my van for the past 2 months and even now in my apartment I can still use this as my fridge. Whilst there is a bit of Tetris to get things to fit, once you get it and use it for a while you will start to understand. I’m very happy with the fridge so far with 12v I was seeing an average of 1A per hour so 24A per 24h at 4 degrees celsius. This is my own experiences. I paid for the fridge myself and wanted to share my experience with using it so far for the last year.

It is better to use the basket. So that there is that little bit of air circulation around the items.

did you guys not have the basket? Its great for filling and emptying while keeping the temperature.

I had the basket but I prefer to not have it as things like sauces and milk tend to not stand up straight. I usually can store a lot more with no basket as well.

Sorry for late response. I don't use the fridge as often now but I still think it's a fantastic fridge. I ended up buying the 45l as well to act as a freezer.

Have you ever tested the actual internal temp with a infrared temp device? Wonder if the ledge area is warmer then the bottom ?

No I haven't however I did find out that when you set your fridge to something like 4 degrees, the motor will cycle down 2 degrees further, so if you want to get an accurate setting a couple of degrees higher is your best bet but play around with it to get it perfect.
