To anybody curious, the inscriptions that can't be locked are the ones that are colored: Masterpiece, Sun & Moon, Omen, and Sin cannot be locked. I can't remember but I *_THINK_* Mastery can't be locked either, but I could be wrong on that one

One thing that would be cool is if they released a handful of different skulls similar to Bomber - fast swaps with a benefit. If fast swaps become an issue, then they can just give the swap shield an internal cooldown based on your swap cooldown.

Wouldn't the heart that reduces your hp to 50% be insane with berserker's gauntlets pumping the attack speed?

It's good for triggering it but the issue is in Hard Mode your max life goes up quite significantly. So cutting your overall life in half just for the gauntlets isn't entirely worth it. You can have it for the inscriptions and benefit from the effect if you happen to get beat up, but mathematically it's not great (the heart). In normal mode if we assume you get to around 200 hp, the heart gets you to 350 total, with your HP staying at a steady 175. In hard mode it's easy to reach 300+ so it scales even worse. The best use case is you take it so you can force the effects of Knights Determination a little earlier. But at that stage, why are you not just keeping a bigger max life pool?

next update idea make new items based on every skulls in the game, like dominator and kirion, maybe we can have "skuls bone club" legendary: increase physical by 1% for each bone acquired, or ghouls hunger: legendary: enemies drops chunks and you get ghouls passive but you can't gulp the chunks to heal yourself or something like that. also another idea for new update, skul has an alt skin, what if that alt skin is now a new skull with an invers play style as normal skull, normal attacks are now magic skills are now physical, instead of throwing his skull and teleporting he now pulls enemies towards him and throws enemies. then imagine all other skulls alt from.

Because I didn't have the sword anymore after getting the archers legendary item. It would ruin the synergy I had and be a dead item slot, relying entirely on finding the sword again towards the end of the run. Wasn't worth it considering what I already had.

Player with skill issue who needs to get good, here for a personal account: either Revenge or the recently buffed Fortress literally carry me through most of my runs. It takes a while, my damage is nowhere near as high as the damage in these videos, but I survive enough to win the run which is something I can't do with my how much I tend to dodge face-first into damage. Defensive and damage amp inscriptions (specially Duel and Execute) feel a little under-appreciated sometimes, to me. I'd love to see a showcase on those guys.

Execute is stupidly powerful but you definitely need some raw power to help make that amp stand out. Duel is for sure underappreciated though. The problem is a lot of the items that have Duel aren't as good.

Mods can beused to get duplicates. However, there's a really difficult way to get it legit in a non-modded run. You have to be in a skull room with the old skeleton NPC in there as well. He's the guy who gives you skulls at the cost of some HP. If you talk to him and and he gives you a skull, let's hypothetically say he gives you Ghoul. DON'T pick up the Ghoul, leave it on the ground. Then if you open the skull pile, it might also have a Ghoul inside because the game doesn't know that Ghoul should not be in the pool for possible skulls. That way you can now pick both of them up. Works for any skull, but also items in the same way using the picture frame NPC. Obviously, this is stupidly RNG based and almost never actually happens. But if it ever did, you'd be obligated to keep them. If you do this with items, and get duplicates of an item, you can get even LUCKIER and have the slime NPC copy one of them, giving you 3 of the same item.
