You should really take a guide with you on these visits to the waterfalls because if it is raining in the interior the conditions can change very quickly. Just some safety advice. Please have fun.

I had a guide Thanks and I totally agree . Also if your not a good swimmer u should not go into titou gorge alone. It’s very deep and the current is strong even on calm days without bad weather.

Terrific work! Loved it! Looks like Papillote Wilderness Retreat. I think that is my absolute favorite place. Though for longer stays, you can get an entire 3 bedroom house for a lot less. A quarter mile up the road past Freshwater Lake is a roadside hot spring pool for bathing among the misty mountains. There is a path to upper Trafalgar falls. At the base of the fall are more hot springs for soaking. Let us know next time you are coming so we can introduce you to folks. You will be convinced to move here. Moving here: better internet service than I had in NYC. Rent 3 bedroom house $650. No tax on income owed to US IRS even if you are working for a USA company! So, you work on the internet here, even if its for an american company, no tax! Some friends here can take you to some great secret spots. Than you so very much for kind words about Nature Island!
