both of them barely surviving in round 4 and 5 you call that a win? atleast gus actually tried go forward and fight the championship rounds and took the loss like a man, reyes ran away like a scared little girl and still crying about the judges years later, he clearly lost the fight, round 2 and 3 were very close, round 4 and 5 was not close at all

It was probably one of the closest title fights ever. Still think that Jon edged him out by a bit. I also believe that to beat the champion you really need to make a clear case that you did, bulletproof. Another one that reminds me of that lately was pantoja vs erceg.

It can be close and it can be also very clear who won, because its based on round by round scoring, Significant strikes first 3 rounds; 1st Jones 17 Reyes 23 2nd Jones 22 Reyes 33 3rd Jones 19 Reyes 26 Last 2 rounds Jones won and made it a close fight, but it should've been obvious that 48-47 for Reyes based on round by round scoring criteria.

Rewatch the fight, reyes won, jons takedowns couldnt even hold reyes down, even jon knew he lost the fight during the post fight interview you can tell he knew it was an underserved win

I had Reyes 3-2 but I could see it being 2-3 Jones. MMA fans love to shout "Robbery" where you have a match that is so 50-50. Robbery is when we all know the clear winner. Not your own opinion I mean like a novice who just started watching UFC could tell who won.

That Reyes fight should've been a very clean scoring that everyone agrees on it, because most people already knew Jones was 0-3 after the 3rd round and Jones either needed 10-8 rounds or a finish in last 2 rounds, and Jones did none of that.
