2 examples I want to give on how I think the judging and points system works : I think it always comes down to how the underdog wins against a champion. If you look at Sean vs dricus’ stats for example, you can see that Sean didn’t win by a lot , only an extra 40 total strikes which were landed mostly to the head. The better overall fighter was Dricus because of his fundamentalist fighting style , which matches the true form of martial arts , having a balance of leg , body and head shots to Strickland which ultimately led him the win. You have to understand that champions of the sport have a huge advantage in morale, so to win by points means they have to have an outstanding win and having only 40+ points extra in total strikes (Sean’s case) was just simply not enough to beat a champion. Let alone winning by 12+ points (Reyes’s case), again not enough to score him the win against a champion. Ya’ll have to accept this

Jones didn’t throw any strikes or have any control time/cause any damage with his few brief takedown. Reyes got to his feet almost immediately each and every time and stuffed countless takedown attempts. He landed more significant strikes via the official punch counter than jones did in the first three rounds, plus Dom caused more damage with said strikes. You clearly don’t understand the scoring system my friend. Reyes clearly won the first 3 rounds whereas jones won only 2, rounds 4 & 5.
