​@@newfnshow031 What I get at Doms is $10 for a large, includes tip and only 3 miles away. Anywhere else that I consider better is, for starters, 23 miles away for the first place and $18 before tip. The other place I like sells by the slice and half a large runs $15, but only 10 miles away. The final one also starts at $18 before tip and also 10 miles away. So, basically, your wrong for my area.

Dominos is good in our area. We had the pan pizza tonight and it was amazing. I will try this New York style. Of course it won’t be exactly like it. But it looks delicious 😍

I buy bakery cookies at the grocery store & they have been under done too. I haven’t had a Domino’s in years. I don’t like thick floppy crust. I love Pizza Hut’s thin the best. Great Italian sausage too.

Just the standard Domino's pizza rolled thin and cut into bigger slices. the taste is the same. There's no extra sauce or a gooey cheese pull. Therefore, there's nothing "New York" about this pizza.

It should only come in X-Large. 14 inch is too small for a New York style. What really sucks is my Dominos near me is terrible, worst pizza I've ever had terrible, and they only have larges, no X-Larges, so they are worthless. The Dominos by my old house an hour and a half away was amazing, I miss it. Blows my mind they can be so different. I have tried all the New York styles but this one. So far Pizza Huts is definitely the best. Since you said you liked the pizza sauce better than usual, I was thinking that's funny, because the sauce at Dominos was always by favorite part, it's so robust. I know you could always get a couple different red sauces there before. I wonder if they added a third red sauce for this pizza. Pizza Hut and Papa Johns both did.

I am on a business trip right now and got just got the NY style today from Domino's (they were the closest place to eat for my lunch). I live in Yonkers, lived in Philly and NJ too, and THAT is NOT an NY style pizza. Puffy but really floppy is what it came out as. I even got light cheese and it still came out heavy on the cheese. An NY style pizza is supposed to be almost an equal ratio of floppy crust that is not thick but not too thin either, sauce and cheese. All the more reason to support your local pizzeria, especially if your area loves NY style, because corporations can't match up in quality.

For a chain pizza, Domino's is solid. Instead of flour, they use cornmeal in their dough, which helps it be a be a bit less floppy and gives it a little texture. They also add a garlic butter drizzle to the crust right after it cooks, so by the time you get it, it's soaked in a bit and gives the crust a hint of a garlic bread flavor. Their big thing though is consistency. It's rarely bad, never amazing, but almost ways good.

Pizza dough all comes down to how much sugar and yeast goes in. Pizza Hut and Marcos use a lot of yeast to get bigger air bubbles for that thick airy crust. Other chains use way less, especially like Little Caesar's, where you get a literal brick of dough with no air in it. Thin crust is dough that is normally hand-tossed but then flattened with a rolling pin to pop all the air bubbles created by the yeast farts. Yeast eats sugar, farts it out, airy dough. So people think thin crust is more healthy but it's not at all, it's the same amount of bread. New York style is kind of inbetween regular and thin crust, normally with a crunchy crust and bendy rest of it. Funny thing is unless you're in New York every elitest prick will tell you "that ain't a REAL New York Pizza, pal!"

I just had this pizza tonight. Mainly because the "New York" style enticed me and it was only $7.99 for a large one topping carryout on the app. I should have maybe asked for less pepperoni because the crust was soaked in oil. Two slices later and my stomach was recoiling! Aside from that, nothing special at all about this pizza. Id still prefer Domino's thin crust!

I haven't eaten regular crust pizza from dominos in years. I get exclusively pan pizza. It's not frozen, and it's buttered up. Just tried this new york style. Yes, it's exactly like the old brooklyn. A thinner version of their regular crust. And tastes just as terrible. Basically sandpaper with no chew. My stomach is always empty because the thin toppings don't make up for the loss of "bread" in the pizza. The sandpaper texture is just awful. A war crime. Never get anything besides pan pizza from dominos. NEVER

The reason is because they use less dough and stretch it thinner to fit a large. So a small dough gets stretched to a large in a brooklynn, that's why you can only go large with that.... basically you are getting a small to a medium? Got the "New" new York style pizza the other day. Looks and tastes exactly sameas Brooklyn style. What a ripoff. I mean it doesn't taste that bad or anything but to lie to us and say its new is a scam to make money. All they did was rename it and cut bigger slices for the XL one.
