The part of the blue Captain killing his unit is very accurate. Often during the war, soldiers would flee the battlefield. But if they were caught fleeing or found later on, the death penalty could be applied immediately, to discourage other troops from fleeing the battle. They served as exemple, just like this soldier did. Amazing short, i hope we'll see more of this work from you in the future !

The violence is absolutely brutal, the sound, particularly when the artillery fires the barrage, is stunning, the animation is top notch and I loved the ending. The lack of dialogue makes the subtle body language stand out and emphasises on the deafening roar of war. The music choice is good and surprisingly enough, tf2 artstyle is suitable for even a non-comedic film like this. My only complaint is that the damn film ended.

I think this successfully displayed the horrors of the trench wars. As the attacker, you'll sacrifice tens of thousands just to get to the enemy's trench. As the defender, you'll have to clean up the mess that is your dead comrades and prepare for the next assault, no time to mourn the dead.
