One thing about Cornell’s freshman housing - I think they changed it to random assignment two years ago. There is program houses with different themes(music, sustainability, lgbtq+ etc.) that you can apply if you wish to live in one of them. Otherwise the process is random.
@ellyconrad Жыл бұрын

Question: I’m curious about why each person chose to go to the college of their choice. Like did anything specifically set one school apart from others? And also about their experiences overall in each school
@gorgeouspencils5994 жыл бұрын
Well one thing is that they may not have had other options. The people whom chose to go to Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, maybe even UPenn might not have had the option to go to Harvard, Princeton, or Yale. Also, money is a huge factor for most. Besides that, there are many other possible reasons why they chose their specific college.
@gorgeouspencils5994 жыл бұрын
@Mohammad Ayman I said it could be A REASON. I never said it was the only reason considering they are all fantastic schools. Columbia's acceptance rate is 5.9, Brown's acceptance rate is 7.7, Dartmouth's acceptance rate is 8.7, and UPenn's acceptance rate is 8.4. Harvard (4.7) and Princeton (5.5) are lower than them all. Many people can be accepted into one and not into others which inevitably factors into where they go. There are obviously other factors, so I would never say that people go to a school solely because they may have been rejected from another one, but it is a reason for some people which is why I listed it in response to Kirky Klee asking why some people choose the college they choose.
