This is why I’m grateful to not only be a seller, but I am a collector first. This means I am not freaking out when the market slows down, I’m actually happy when it does because I’m able to pick up cards that used to be out of my budget. Not surprised. I generally have nothing AGAINST people who have jumped into pokémon and tcg for investment purposes. I don't agree with it because of the flow on affect it has on collectors who don't care about $$$ VALUE, the ones who collect cos they love Pokémon and are fans of the games. Etc. For entertainment purposes. However, this deceptive and greedy behaviour was always going to be displayed by these elite pokémon investors eventually. Don Diegos cocky, know it all attitude has rubbed me the wrong way for a while- now it's confirmed why- she's dodgy, untrustworthy- and it's all for the clout and profit. The problem now is what happens... The more us plebs continue to follow and support means these people keep doing the shitty stuff they do because there's no accountability. Reality is there are some people who will still stand by her. Although it won't happen, large follower accounts who do shitty things need to be held accountable and distanced from... Until then, I will just smile at the amazing prices I can get while the market declines and I'll laugh at the sad faces of those who genuinely thought mass pokémon investing was going to be consistently lucrative.

Yeah man it’s never been a better time to catch up on modern and I’m enjoying the prices, and I understand for the higher market it’s dropped significantly… however when it was up they had their chance to make moves and they may have made some, but not enough. If you have to resort to this to keep relevance than maybe your relevance has less to do with you and more with what you have. Really late to the game on this video / news - but I know Radar and Don Diego were dating around this time. They've since broken up, and Radar is putting out some decent collectible topics, streams, and conversations (just skip some of those pack opening videos - they're...'meh' to say the least). It's hard to tell how they each felt about this situation, but Radar definitely appears to have assumed Don Diego would pay for the item (when she thought she won). He didn't encourage her, and was doing something else (phone??) at the time. I refuse to defend Don Diego's actions though - shill bidding is absolutely against the spirit of the game, and she knew what she was doing. Especially since she (allegedly - I can't find existing evidence of this) immediately claimed ignorance, and fell back to the primitively blind blame-game of men being sexist, and gender discrimination to justify her actions / defend herself. Really shady and immature of a content creator to do that... Either way, I still think this is a good video. A good insight into the shitty dealings of auctions. Protect yourself folks.

Looked like a 4 maybe a 5 graded but someone up bid me to 4800…. now normally I’d be like ok someone got me it’s whatever. Last minute snipe… but the buyer didn’t pay and had 34 feedback. I have always believed people were working bids up. In fact looking back… I probably over paid for a ton of stuff because of people up bidding stuff. Great stuff man. Really gotta hand it to you great content. Until that person entered the bidding it was a 3800$ raw 1st Ed zard.. 3800$ even sounded high… so when it ended at 3800$ and I even dumbly bid it up to 4500$ it was shocking to me so I let it go. Few days later seller is telling me they haven’t paid… happens to me so often it’s definitely indicative that something is/has been going on…

I don't get it, Pokeradar I understand has been around collecting for years, Dondiego just seemed to pop up one day in a video and started hanging around with the Logan Paul hanger on crew. People are always so dumb with auctions. If you truly don't believe the card's values that low.. it's simple as not putting it on an auction... Or have a reserve. Example I had Sightseer FA PSA 10. It dropped to $400 Range. I waited and ignored all the offers from Japan. I ended up waiting only 2 months. Then i sold it for $1000.. Don't listen to the market rate. Do what you want to do and wait if you see fit. Auctions are too risky. All it takes is a few too many buyers that really want the card but happen to not be in that auction at that time. Then the price crashes.

I think her thinking she won could be a mental misstep looking at the screen, doesn't HAVE to be that she bid on it. Just playing devil's advocate to learn here. Shilling is a risk too but I don't even think Heritage saying anything about it changes the law or makes it better/worse. I think shilling should be "allowed" as long as you know who is bidding, as the removal of anonymity exposes the risk

Great vid. To clarify on that "accidental bidding" on Whatnot, it is exceptionally easy to accidentally bid on that damn app. You can sneeze and the snot from your nose might bounce that auction from $35 to $140 because there is no incremental bidding or confirmation prompt.

You could 100% end up paying a bit more for the item than you thought, the app is regulated about as well as a 50 years olds intestines, but there, in my opinion, is no accidental bidding here. If you click that button you are at least willing to pay, and if that raises other issues such as addiction and predatory factors to entice further spending, then that’s a fair topic. But a bid is a bid, and “accidental” shilling is still shilling. Thank you for the feedback my guy 😎🙏🏽

I agree, whatnot is super easy to f up. I had an issue with whatnot on a Superduper Dani stream and I bought a pack i thought I was bidding x amount and for some reason the app added an extra 0 on my bid. It was the weirdest thing. Luckily Dani figured it was an accident and she canceled it and redid the auction for the pack. Whatnot returned my money. But also I was perfectly fine with the auction getting redone that way it wasn't an incident like this where anyone would think I was shill bidding.

I've never been a fan of any of the pokey influencer people but Don Dieago always kind of was one of the least favorite one just never liked any of the content she was making and for me that's really all that matters and stuff I like your content or not but that being said this kind of stuff has been going on since the first video I ever watched of hers I just think that a lot of people care more about the value of stuff than anything else on that note though I have personally dealt with bo dangers on many different occasions and she is in my opinion and amazing person who has helped me further my collection and understand the market a little better as to when to buy and not to buy so I totally agree you get mad if someone over pays but then don't act like a weeb when your cards sales for "less" it's cardboard the fact that any of it sells for more than 3 cents is amazing
