My husband and I were married with the lyrics of this song playing an important part. 38 years strong and still going!!!!!

May of 1979, my husband and I had this sung at our wedding. We sensed that the presence of the Holy Spirit was so present! Now coming up to 44 years, and with 4 sons married to beautiful, Godly women, and 17 grandchildren (so far:-) this song still has deep meaning for us. Our love is deeper and sweeter than ever! Marriage can be the "bit of heaven on earth" it was meant to be, when Jesus is honored as Lord!!

30 years ago last February I met my wife Roxanne. I remember one of the first times I held her in my arms, and told her of the Love that God had for her and how much I loved her. It was a very special moment, one of those moment when God shows up, as I held her and assured her of his Divine love for her, she wept freely in my arms. My heart was bonded to hers. I knew she was to be my wife. Well just four months later we married, and having prayed about the music at our wedding we had some of our best friends, Bill and Anne Tanner sing this song. Through 30 years of marriage, I have remember this song many times, in the good times and difficult ones, it has been His love in our hearts and lives that has carried us through. Today, she still raptures my heart, I love her dearly. It is amazing what a Christ centered marriage is like. We have prayed through lifes good and bad. May His name be Praised.

This song was sang at our wedding nearly 38 years ago. I remember the music but the lyrics have been so special , the years the holy spirit reminds me of love of god and faithfulness he has been in our lives even when i was running. And the love we still have each year is a gift.

Not sure I know how to add my message other than commenting, but my husband and I played this at our wedding in 1991. He passed away last month, and listening to this again really makes me happy we had the Lord in our lives. I also sure do appreciate Don Francisco's music, too. Thanks Don!

I hope you are doing ok by now. It must be very hard to miss your husband, but I read so much love and gratefulness in your message🥹. I just heard this song a few days ago and it made me cry so hard. My marriage of five years is very sad because my husband has a hard time being trustworthy😢. But I trust in God! 🙏🏻🥹💖

@@elwee97 I am getting through it. It's a roller-coaster of emotions for sure. Pray every day for your husband and seek God's will in everything. Best advice I have. HE is faithful to us in all things even when we can't see the plan. Hugs.

A friend sang this song at our wedding over 38 years ago, 1982. How could we have known, at such a young age, how appropriate are the lyrics. Thank You to Mr. Francisco, who was able to articulate these truths so beautifully. We are living out, what we, by ourselves, would not have been able to do... have strong and fulfilling marriage. Thankful for our Savior's grace during the "dry" and "unappealing" times :) !!!

I love this song and have put the shorter version inside of wedding cards. I’ve been asked to send a greeting for a wedding and looked up the song here. I hadn’t heard Don Francesco sing it. It almost made me cry. I lost my husband 6 years ago and I say that love doesn’t die with death in Christ.

This was sung at our wedding in 1984 because I had a bible teacher who introduced us to christian music. Once I heard this, I knew one day that I would have it as my wedding song. 37.5 years later and I am now including it in the video presentation at my husbands funeral while we show our wedding pictures.

After 6 short months of marriage, my wife got into a nearly fatal car accident that left her a quadriplegic. Months later, when the therapists and aides came to our home with my wife strapped to a wheelchair. I played and sang this song to her with tears. A couple years later, I quit my career to stay/work at home to help her get better and she did get better, although many severe neurological and physical problems followed. A few years ago, she got breast cancer, surgically removed, chemo, radiation, etc. Thought all was well until we found it went to the spine. Then due to weaknesses/complications from the first accident, the cancer spread further into the cervical area. Fight it hard for 4 years we did, but it was a horrible drawn out painful process which paralyzed her again and finally took her life 11-05-2018. I had been her at-home 24/7 caregiver for nearly 30 years since her first accident and in the final days I could do little more than kiss and weep over her. I wish I would of sang her this song one more time. Just one more time.

@@brooklynchadwick8930 Thanks Bro. Through the years, I've heard this same comment from a lot of people. I never could see what people saw in us, but maybe I'm getting an idea that if our painful journey can inspire someone to really deeply serve their family in love, then I'm glad our pain can be someone else's victory/help/etc... Just so you know, we had an easy relationship our entire marriage, we put each other first and loved each other in a way words cannot express and it didn't even feel like serving. There are a few very unusual happenings during our 30 year journey which when people learn of they say "you should write a book" or "that'd make a great movie", but I'm not a book writer and I shun the spotlight. I know one thing though, I'm absolutely certain there are other commendable people whose story is not told and who silently but painfully support their spouse under harsh conditions. I pray for these people and if I can help, I will. I've learned that nothing purchase-able in this life really matters when your family's health/life is in trouble and that nothing else matters when your own health is in jeopardy. These are the things we struggled with.

Sorry, I was on vacation when I saw your question, had to wait until I got home to look at it. It's called THE LIVE CONCERT. I found his website and requested 3 copies, 1 for me, 1 for my mother and 1 for my grandmother. He burned them himself and even signed the CD's. There are 18 songs on it. I have no idea whether there are any other "live" albums out there, but it is called THE LIVE CONCERT.
