Gibson, the shiek of Shelby North Carolina, did write some great songs BUT this one, Woman (Senious ((sp)) woman) was written by the great Gary S. Paxton, of Skip & Flip fame and the Hollywood Argyles fame from Coffeyville Kansas.

This was written and produced by Gary S. Paxton who was the Flip in the 1959 hit "It Was I" by Skip & Flip. Paxton also helped to create and co wrote "Alley Oop" by The Hollywood Argyles and "The Monster Mash" by Bobby "Boris" Pickett & The Crypt Kickers. Don Gibson was one of the greatest song writers ever.

I sure miss good ol" traditional country that came out of the 60's and 70's, even though it began long before that. But, I was very fortunate to have grown up with during those times with Jones, Haggard, Cash, Gibson, Williams and other who knew how to sing a good ol" hurting honky-tonk song😊😉But, I'm glad with todays technology we're able to load up our old favorites on a memory stick and play them in our Dodge Rams☺👍.

That guitar is on display at the Don Gibson Theater in Shelby, NC..he was born in Shelby...and is buried here.his wife Bobbie lives here...she attends a lot of the concerts at the theater...she and the people that assisted her have made a great tribute to Don...if you are ever in the neighborhood, it would be a great place to visit.
