Even as I write this message, tons of cocaine are moving around the world to reach their customers. The issue is never Escobar, the issue is that state administrators are secret Escobars. Remember, everyone has a price..

Great documentary overall. Pablo was close to taking over the Columbian Government. The US most likely feared another Fidel Castro situation, but far worse. With the exportation of cocaine, Pablo could have been very powerful on the world-wide stage & I suspect this was a motivating factor for the US. It wasn't a war on drugs, but the fear of losing control.

So Pablo was shot thru his temple inside the house, but still managed to jump out of the window and cross about 20 feet of roof before actually dying? I feel like this same guy has told multiple stories about Pablo's death. I believe at one point Pablo was shooting at them from the roof. I also like how he said the window used to be higher, then they go to the picture and it's at the same height. We get it. He was running away and they had a kill order. They never intended to capture him alive.

It's a reflection of how people are now. Some are so sensitive that just hearing certain words offends them. Unfortunately, everyone is catering to those people. Advertisers don't want to be "canceled" bc their ad is shown on a video with "offensive" content. So KZbin restricts and demonitizes anything people complain about. It's absolutely ridiculous. It was supposed to be a platform for everyone to say what they want, now it's more censored than actual television.
@James-vn8zb

@@KingMe2 Things like the term safe space are what got us here. I'm guessing you meant it as a place that was safe for people to create content without censorship. Unfortunately, now people think everywhere and everything should be a "safe space" for them. People need reality. One's safe space should be inside their and if they don't like something going on inside that home, change it. Like a KZbin video for instance.

Very well done documentary actually probably one of the best narrated and cinematic visually I've seen in many years! One bit of advice for the translation in a few parts is that the volume and the voice over done simultaneously can be hard to understand as the latin is as loud if not slightly louder than the English interpretation unfortunately, otherwise outstanding production of the facts and details of that time!

Great documentary on Pablo lifestyle. This one is up there with a lot of other great videos I have seen on Pablo. The only thing I disagree with is the guy @ 45 minutes, telling how he killed Pablo. People who were actually there said, “ he came out of the window trying to escape but found himself in a shoot out.”. There are also footage of this one army guy in a car who had seen Pablo first and called it in. Great video tho.

BEST DOCUMENTARY always does so very well in content and presentation.. this Escobar doc has narration at the same volume as the dialogue which is being translated, so it is as if the volumes are in competition rendering BOTH indistinguishable from the other.. must just be an oversight ... After 4 weeks of holiday in Bello, Envigado, el Poblado, Medellin, I got out of Colombia. What a crazy place not all but many people are out to find ways to scam you out of as many pesos as possible. Tried the airbnb in 3 different locations one infested with cockroach the other was threaten by the host son in the next apt for complaining about the music at 3am 5-6 nights a week and the last was a total scam listed an address for a decent location apt. but was brought to a completely different address at the time of checking in. Not to mention being ripped off by almost all the taxi drivers and short changed by many vendors. Sept. 12, 2023 to mid Oct. 2023.

everybody needs a bad guy to point at...the Problem Escobar had was that he wasn't smart enough to turn his Drug money into legal money, which is the problem most Drug dealers have....when he was on top, he could have bought officials around him, not necessarily congress or Presidents, Major, cops even the street sweeps would have done well, he could have bought a port or created a port for export, not only his drugs but regular product out Columbia, he could have invited, Chinese' Japanese or Korean manufacturing to produce jobs, and most of all he should have stayed in the shadows, operating underground.....if you do illegal things to make millions that last thing you want to do is run for public office, something someone should have told Trump....

Truth is Pablo although a ruthless man who killed with no regard for those who got in the way he kept that dark aspect of the drug trade at bay as well as one can and he had a level of control that had authorities taken a different approach and our governments been more honest letting the fact that drugs will always be here and readily available some kind of partnership could have been could have been sought between the two sides so that Pablo could run the drug trade with less murder and terrorizing of people and the government could have got their kick backs
