Imagine being as revered as Scorsese is and having someone you obviously respect and admire like Don Rickles call you the Cadillac and mention your mothers pride of your work, that was a genuine moment of seeing Marty the man and not the great cinematic legend of the world. Mom and Dad, saw Don Rickles in Vegas in 50s. They said it was the funniest show they'd ever seen. Over the years they saw him 3 more times, Dad always got as close as he could hoping he'd be insulted by Don. He never did, but like me, he loved Don Rickels. The man is one of a kind and they'll never be anyone like him, no matter how many try.

I saw Rickles in a hotel show in Atlantic City In the early 1980s when I was a teenager. He was hysterical, insulting everyone at once with funny remarks, but he had a beautiful heart. Then throughout the performance, not once was he being mean or hurtful while he insulted person after person in the audience in the small venue where I saw him perform. Fantastic show.

The joke about Robert Deniro was hilarious, well all of it was so funny. I love how Don would rip them, all in good fun of course, and then praise them at the end. As someone else commented, another ten or so seconds and Martin would've been in tears.... I got teary eyed at what he said. Mr. Rickles was such a funny man! There will never be another like him. For me, Don Rickles is the greatest comedian who ever lived. He never had anything prepared. Just came out and started firing away. Amazing delivery, energy and timing. Even with the lines that he repeated over and over again, you still laughed because of that amazing delivery.

i was born in the 80s so rickles was someone i learned because of youtube and watching old movies. but years a go i got a chance to see him. i was worries it was going to flop because hes much older. but OMG!!! at his age the man is still sharp as a whip and funny if not funnier than ever. he then came our with a book and then i got to see him again ..drove last min to RI to see him and got him to sing my book. he is so funny!! im so happy i got to see him because he really is very rare talent. while he was signing he was making fun of everyone around him we where all in tears laughing so hard!

RIP Don Rickles. First knew him as Mr Potato Head and then as i grew up i realised how uniquely funny a man he was.....one of the true comedy legends

Seeing Marty's mother acting for the first time in goodfellas, when Don mentioned her, I shed a tear. she was amazing. she raised an amazing son.

🇬🇧 🇬🇧 Martin Scorsese looked like he was about to cry.........because at the end of the of the show .....Don Rickles was talking about Martin Scorsese's late mother, and giving him a very beautiful Homage to Martin and his late mother.......and that was something rare to see him talking that way........very impressive Don Rick;es...🇬🇧 🇬🇧
