I love to hear this because I am going through same thing as first year associate in audit. Not being utilized is hindering my learning. I am ready to just leave company. It’s definitely tough. I am first time generation Latina and this is all very true. Another challenging thing is finding that mentor that is willing to help you and guide you. I have no mentor at moment so maybe makes things even worst.

Found myself in the EXACT same scenario you described at my firm, I feel the exact same way you did (imposter syndrome, under utilized/developed) so I’m just so glad to see that this experience isn’t outside of the norm and something I can get over. Whatever you do, don’t stop making these videos, the CPA is one thing, but for a lot of us working in audit(especially in our first couple years at the Big 4, etc), these stories go a long way in letting us it’s not as bad as we think it is 🙏🏻

Hey Bryan how did you go about asking for time off to take the CPA exam in a new role?

Hi Bryan, kind of the same right now. Im still in community college for accounting and Im getting ready to transfer but my issue is should I continue with accounting at PACE university or go with finance. Im also stuck on (2) schools, Baruch or Pace university. Pace is really good for accounting and prepare us for the CPA.
