And who gave Eve the eyes to see that the Fruit was good to eat?

Jesus tells us to deny ourselves in Matthew 16:24 "Then Jesus said to his disciples "if anyone is willing to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."

@@jstube36 How about I put it like this. By denying ourselves, it means we deny the desires of our flesh. God told her to not eat the fruit, yet she didn't listen. She chose the desires of her own flesh than her spirit.

@@thewildcowboy0 But where did those desires come from?. She, according to the story, was just formed from a man's rib. Formed by God. And how does she know that her action is right or wrong. And To her God's warning could be that the fruit was poison. But the other voice tells her the fruit will not kill her. And how does she know which voice is right or wrong? And who gave her the eyes to see that the fruit was good to eat? She ate and did not die that day. Neither did Adam. So who really did tell the truth? And who really was the voice of the Serpent? These are questions that must be asked

@@jstube36 God warned both Adam and Eve not to eat the forbidden fruit. But since they both listened to Satan instead, they ate it. They even knew clearly that they weren't supposed to do it, just like how lucifer knew it was bad to act prideful and say that "he is more than God". And since Adam and Eve both ate the fruit, death and suffering was brought into the world. They both weren't going to die instantly.
