So his inconsiderate friend does not come home for dinner and comes home very late, plus forgets his keys. John gets awaken by him asking him to come down to the lobby to let him in. John has to get out of bed and go down while doing this on crutches. So the bonus for being considerate, he gets killed instead, interesting. I understand by what they mean, to use the stairs instead of the elevator bc it is just one floor down. However, being on crutches makes it difficult. So, yes he should still be killed. The moral of the story, All nice guys, lose out in the end. Question here, this lobby looks very nice and up to date. Is the buzzer broken too, to buzz to let him in??? @4:46 did anyone notice the error. The elevator stops on the 5th floor, he looks out and when he does, on the side of the elevator where it shows what floor you are on. It says 2 instead of 5. Then when the elevator door closes, it shows the correct floor number which is 5. Great bloopers in the end. In the end, honestly it was a great short film.

So what you're basically saying is that injury and illness make a person lazy? Yeah this one is really weak.. Just because someone uses an elevator doesn't mean they are lazy, especially when they are on crutches, and especially in the middle of the night. Also, he made dinner, for two people, not from a box, with veggies and everything, then got up out of bed in the middle of the night to come downstairs and let in his friend...While on crutches!! If the story doesn't hold up, then it doesn't really matter about jump scares or any other gimmick you incorporate. You should have made the "lazy" friend who forgot his key be attacked, he doesn't have an excuse or valid reason for being irresponsible and inconsiderate. Also: Most apartments have the ability to buzz someone in from the apartment, there shouldn't have been any reason for him to HAVE to go down stairs.

It seems like too many people got hung up on the sign and the fact that he was on crutches....but that’s kinda the point right? He couldn’t take the stairs?! 🙄 not because he was lazy...but because of the crutches....the monster doesn’t care why he was supposedly being lazy, just that he judged him so and killed him..also kinda cool that the elevator kept stopping giving him a opportunity to get off and he doesn’t even when he starts realizing something is off....especially when he hears the running steps.
