I honestly think it's because Maddie represents someone in their own life that they perceive they were never able to live up to. Maybe it was their golden child sibling, or their teacher's pet classmate, or their coworker who always gets more promotions and raises. For whatever reason, they harbor a lot of jealousy and resentment and see a public figure as a good target for those feelings.

One thing that Ashlee said was that Jill and Kendall needed to leave early one day and were told that the only way that they could was if they gave a good argument on screen so that there was a story for why they left. Ashlee said that out of nowhere Kendall just went off like that and when it happened she was really confused. Afterwards production gave her some lines to say as a pickup so that Kendall going off like that would make sense. One thing I’ve noticed, is sometimes for quieter lines there will be subtitles, but if you listen closely or watch their lips while they’re talking, you can tell that it’s not always what they actually said. One example of this is when Kendall was having a panic attack, the subtitle said I can’t do this, but if you listen closely, you could tell that she actually said I can’t breathe.

I learned this back when i woudl watch America's Next Top Model. People in the forums would call out the edited audio, and it became easy to pick this up when watching the show. And not just with ANTM, but any reality. Kinda a useless skill, but handy when watching shows like this because you know not everything being shown is real. It just sucks for those who are unaware about it (both viewers and participants), especially those in front of the camera. These were regular moms and their kids.

Its interesting because one of the most remembered instances of editing audio wound be the Christi v.s. Abby "your kid's washed up" clip that lead to Chloe's exit. Had the cameras caught up to Abby and you could fully see her face, maybe they would have had no choice but to keep her original ( and horrible) comment " and get that eye fixed" in. Why was it okay to keep it in when she made fun of the CADC Dancer and fixing her ears but they edited about Chloe's eye? Crazy...

@greenbeantm10968 ай бұрын
10:12 that reason for tap dances not being common makes sense. I used to be a competitive dancer and comps would often mic the stage both so the audience and judges could hear the sounds, but also every competition (at least that I’ve been too) gives some type of recording, usually a video with each judge’s critiques/comments over it. You’ll get say 3 copies of the same dance, each with a different judge talking about the dance. I did a tap solo one year and found out the stage wasn’t mic-ed at all competition because after my solo my family informed me that I was the only one you could hear the sounds coming from in my category, and later watching other tap dances from the audience I couldn’t hear most of them either. I don’t remember if this was the same competition but it probably was, but there was zero tap sounds in the videos we received after, it was just the music, visuals and judges.
