Chef Jonny was kind enough to share the recipe for the beautiful asparaus and mushroom dish you see in this video! Just go to the description section above for the tehcnique and recipe. Also, my COOKBOOK, “Feast in the Middle East,” has only 500 copies left! I am not reprinting because I want this to be a collectors item for people that follow Feast In the Middle East. =) This book contains both classical as well as modern Middle Eastern recipes, including the dishes you see here on this channel. This over 200 page hardcover book contains meticulous cooking instructions, gorgeous photos, family stories, and historical information on each dish. Looks interesting too. I love it with za’atar, shallots , garlic, & lemon juice.

I absolutely love asparagus Blanche and it’s one of my go to veggies. If people don’t like it when they come to my house, I eat theirs too! I like tossing in some grape tomatoes and a bit of balsamic with olive oil, S&P and popping into the oven for about 10 minutes. This mushroom sauce looks way too good!👅

So great to see you --your way of course sounds fabulous too! His cream sauce had a lot of butter and creme fraiche, so keto but I think good for special occasions ;)

Steamed - fried on a grill pan or BBQ - or wrapped in foil with a knob of butter and nestled among the campfire coals 🙂
