He can say that because he's mentally so strong. I think that he was more concerned than that he was scared. If he was scared he wouldn't have gone flat out is my guess. English isn't his native tongue. I think that Max was the first driver that took T1 flat with DRS open in his first hot lap. On new tracks Max is also the first one with a fast laptime. His out laps are hard to beat as well. He was trained that way.

Jos is a good trainer, but not as good as Max is. But as soon as Max has his 9th WDC, we'll see GP breaking records of Luigi Fagioli, race winner at 53 years 22 days. But before that, GP needs to grow up. He is up, but he needs to be upper, much more upperish in fact.
