I'm not saying this because it's your channel, but my best F1 memory is of when you won 2016. It was so intense because the title wasn't decided until the very last lap and corner, I remember my heart was pumping as fast as a hummingbird, and then I had never felt so much joy from an F1 event as you crossed that finish line and secured the title. Last time I felt near that emotion was when Kimi won 2007, but your title far surpassed it.

MARCH 28, 1993: I was 6 years old. By that time I already liked cars a lot and it's hard to describe what F1 Sundays used to be in Brazil back in the day. There was so much hope, pride and joy among the whole country to support Senna. It was like a world cup game... there were no differences, just everyone cheering as one. I didn't understand much about F1 or how the rain would affect it, but I do remember my dad yelling at the TV between beers. I also remember Senna's Theme (which was called the victory theme in Brazilian TV) when the race ended. I saw the crowd rushing into the track and carrying Senna in their arms. My parents kissed each other while cheering. I didn't know exactly what was happening, but I knew that its was pure happiness. I know we all miss Senna, but for me its hard to put in words how briefly and deeply was his influence over me. RIP Ayrton.

I love motorsports enough to know that when a professional driver gives you tips, you listen. This is an incredibly well-done lap breakdown, and it helps me understand what an F1 driver's mind is doing during a lap. Also it's great to see you put in a hot lap, I like watching drivers when they turn on the concentration. It isn't always obvious to me that not everyone knows how to go fast around race tracks, but once it becomes a passion, a driver always has that same stone-faced look of intense concentration when they're ready to go fast. Looking forward to a lot more of these in the future! This video earned you a subscriber!

My favourite F1 memory is Monza 2019... I was at the Autodromo for the first time in my life, in the morning there was a heavy rain, I had no umbrella and it was very cold... but Charles' victory made me forget everything, it was one of the biggest experiences in my life

I had a similar experience at Interlagos (Brazil) 2019. Never been to a GP in my life, and I was rewarded with one of the best races of the season. I literally was crying seing Gasly's drag race to the line. I can only imagine being at monza during Charle's victory, it must have been so wild, especially with the amount of Ferrari fans.

Question: In your opinion, what is the difference between the Codemasters F1 game and the Mercedes F1 simulator? Is there similar feel in how the cars drive? Love the series by the way!!!
@eternalemperorvalkorion750
@eternalemperorvalkorion750 3 жыл бұрын
Never been on the Mercedes sim but as a general with proper racing sims the car reacts more like the car and obviously because your strapped in they simulate some forces as well as you can actually “feel” the grip of the car the wheel gives a natural amount of feeling for grip.

In the F1 games don't simulate load transfer well. this is why there's never corner-entry oversteer, and breaking/lifting mid corner may help by reducing speed but you don't feel the front 'bite'. This is also why there's a lot of understeer (what would be corner entry oversteer becomes understeer), and people say the car feels like a hovercraft. This is a deliberate decision, as load transferring can be very punishing for gamepad players. Gran Turismo has somewhat similar problems.

NIco, Nico, NICO! This is the absolute best F1 video I've ever watched. A real driver telling many unknown details of what it takes (and I'm sure there a lot more) to do a hot lap. Thank-you so much. Steering the car is almost incidental and that's what the majority of fans would think is nearly 100% of the lap. Subscribed, and I'm stingy with subs. Favorite F1 memory: Ayrton Senna in the rain at Donnington Park 1993, nonpareil.

This is the BEST track commentary that I have EVER seen. Thanks! I cannot believe the difference in level of detail and depth that you know the track as compared to other KZbinrs/Sim Racers (no offense to them, there are some very good ones). This is just in a league of its own. There is obviously a huge difference between a top level F1 driver and everyone else. Please, please do Nurburgring Nordschleife next!!! I know it isn't on the F1 schedule but I heard they were bringing back the Nurburgring GP! Make it a "Bonus" second part to the GP track!!!!

My favorite F1 memory is my (recent) first GP at Interlagos 2019. I've always been a F1 fan, but never attended the actual race. I was rewarded not only by an amazing weekend, but with a lot of new friends that shared my excitement with the sport and motorsports. I attended every session and every day, from when the gates opened until they closed. Sunday's race was one of the best days of my life. I was sitted at the end of the "Reta oposta" and saw more action that day than I could ever hope for. I saw K Mag Spun, Verstappen fighting lewis, Gasly defending 2nd place with his life, Charles Ferrari soaring pass without a tire ,and all the intense safety car restarts. The cherry on top was the fact that I've always been a Valtterri fan, and I really hoped to see him perform well. By a matter of fate he retired his car right in front of where I was sitted. Although it was painful to watch him retire, I could see my favorite driver up close.

Weird one for me, but it's actually been the ability to see more into who the drivers really are during the pandemic (like you, Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, George Russell, and several others getting on board with KZbin/Twitch). I've always enjoyed watching an F1 race occasionally, but so many drivers have made themselves much more relatable when we get to see who they are as a person, and I've found myself watching every race now and rooting for people throughout the different battles (top-tier, mid-pack). Thanks for the great videos!

My favorite F1 memory is when I attended the Detroit Grand Prix in the mid 80s. The sights and sounds of the Turbocharged cars. Fire belching, backfiring engines reverberating off of the buildings of Motown. The smells were intoxicating. I remember seeing your dad retiring from the race, jumping out of the car walking through the crowd smoking a cigarette. Memories! It was so cool back in those days. I even got to tour through the Paddock in the basement of Cobo Hall. Back before everything became so top secret between the teams.

This is amazing! What a fantastic insight into what it takes to get the most out of a car/track, how to use the tools available to the drivers and what effect they have on the car. Favourite F1 memory is the 1999 Austrailian GP. I'd got into the sport the year before and I was full of excitement for the new season to start. I set an alarm to get up so I didn't miss one minute of the live TV coverage. I still have vivid memories of on-board footage from Ralph Schumacher's car during the race with the sunlight glinting off the grooves within the tyres. The grooved tyre, V10 era is still to be bettered in my opinion.
