Johns reply to the mom whose son was living at home struggling. Hit the nail on the head with me. 3 kids in college and I have no purpose in life whatsoever. It killed me to sell my suburban that I have been driving alone for 3 years.😅 It gave me some clarity to actually hear him say it out loud. I listen to the show for financial info, but life info not bad either.

That’s so true! What Jade is saying about the financing. They didn’t like me too much because I had a cashiers check. They kept changing their pitch to get me to change my mind. Finally I stood up in the office and I picked up the check off of the gentleman’s desk and I said “Look……you either wanna sell me this car or you don’t.” 🤷‍♀️ well then of course I got the car lol but yes they do not like people who buy cars with cash! 🤓

Same thing happened to me except with home improvement. The company kept trying to get me to finance. I stayed firm and paid online after the work was done. These businesses will take a chance on you not being able to complete your payments to maximize on the money made from interest if you finance. Why take that chance when you have the guaranteed full payment in lump sum?

The AARP online newsletter today had horrific accounts of retired Seniors in their 70s still trying to pay off a mortgage and student loans! "Just didn't realize life could throw me a curve and things would get so expensive, etc." Lots of parents who are deeply in debt for trying to pay their kids' college costs. DON'T DO IT - Senior citizens are mortgaging their retirements on the backs of their kids' "dream college" wishes.

1:43:14 well, I agree, a lot of kids will probably forget if Mom or Dad miss a game (however, my 29 year old son remembers the one game I missed due to being really sick). I, personally, remember my parents only went to the games where they were the carpool parents that day; or only went to the games where it was "Dad's Night" or "Mom's Night." I'm sure they had better things to do. That, right there, is why I made darned sure I went to all my son's things.

They asked for1 years books showing that I earned £50000 last year then they will lend me 200000. No other bills ,that was all they wanted. I was an interest rate very near other mortgages. They have your house as collateral so I think that's why it works.

He has worked repairing and selling lawn mowers, etc. since he was 14, went to college to get his welding certificates and at 18 didn’t want to follow his parent’s rules. He left on his own and is living in his SUV. He said it’s not easy but, he still works and shows up to church. He pays for storage for his stuff and showers at the gym. Maybe your son needs counseling but after being in the military, there’s no doubt he could survive on his own.

You may not have been listening for a long time. His children had jobs around the house when they were old enough to do things, like fill the dishwasher, etc. They went to public school and they went to a local college. They didn't know how much money he had until they had all graduated. He said he didn't want them to think they had hit the lottery. He says it's not their money, it's God's money and they have a stewardship to manage it for God. He put all sorts of stipulations on their inheritance. If they're not going to church and not leaving good lives and not following his principles, they don't get anything. And he doesn't brag about how much he gives to charity but he tithes to his church which is 10% and his daughter Denise is totally in charge of giftgiving and the foundations that they run. They give away several hundred million dollars a year. There's a verse in the Bible that says don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing which means that you don't brag about your donations. He doesn't brag, he just does it.

Essentially his rights are gone due to abandonment. She might need an attorney for that; it’s gonna get messy when he files that he hasn’t seen the boy. Please educate yourself. The Bible verse the "born agains" cling to is the most understood verse in the Bible. Keep reading. Nicodemus asks for clarification. Jesus is referring to Baptism. Our church fathers and those that walked closest to Christ interpreted this verse as Baptism for centuries. It was understood as Baptism for 1,500 years. Please, please educate yourself. Don't put Catholics down because you are ignorant of church history, the Bible, and the religion.
