at the shop i work we bought a DTF printer and the company gave us some guidelines ! same as the ones you state! never let the printer off for more than 2 days and we daily clean the head ! we have it for a year now and its true on the first few weeks if not a month we had issues with the quality of the prints but playing around with the profiles at the DTF program we were able to produce more vibrant colors etc ! so yeah its definately like a puppy, you cant leave it unattended for too long !

Seeing as my DTF printer is stuck in customs and I may never get it…I am debating ordering a white toner printer instead…they claim to be a lot less maintenance so that is a positive !

Sheets A and B marrying no thank you. We used to have a white toner printer but marrying the two sheets was always a pain in the neck. There are many chances to spoil any job. Besides, the finishing is no way comparable with DTF.

Dont buy a dtf printer if you dont want having trouble with your customer. Most dtf printer lacks color accuracy compared to sublimation printer printed on a white shirt.
