This might just change things completely for people that have physical limitations that keep them from running a walk-behind mower. We have alot of thick grass on the acreage here and also a very steep ditch to mow. This would let me, with my issues, do any of it!

Absolutely!!!! It would be perfect for that! Thanks a bunch!

After you knocked it down the first time, are you able to go back to that lower setting?

Absolutely!!

Awesome toy, but I would be more comfortable with a push mower and a weed Wacker.

I'm also in Texas and looking at homesteading on some land. My concern is: is this even possible or affordable without being a social media influencer or content creator? I'm a big fan of all the homestead channels on KZbin, but many are making so much money that it's not a realistic vision for the rest of us. How much outside income would you suggest for a family of 4 in this economy? Thanks!

I think 2020 actually opened a world of opportunities for people to live and do this. So many companies offer remote work. So you can work from your homestead and build a modest home so that you aren’t over extended. Finding property is the biggest change since we started living in the country. Land prices have really gone up. So you have to be creative about where you are willing to live and using the land to make that work.

Ngl a trimmer probably would have been easier then driving it back and forth so many times
@BetterTogetherLife3 ай бұрын
Not sure what “easier” means to you. I didn’t break a sweat. And I was working 2 cameras plus a drone. Haha. A weed eater would have been a crap lot of work and super hard on the back and a mess and would have had to replace the string a couple of times. And batteries. But hey, I 100% get your point. And yes, this was supplied to me for free. All I can say is this….. this little RC mower isn’t going to end up on eBay ever! Heck, I used it just this morning on my front slope of my property line where my tractor can’t go. And I didn’t even video it! I will be keeping this toy, it’s just to much fun!

And thank you Matthew for your comment! It means a lot!

fair enough, my idea was that having to drive it back and fourth looks like it would make it take a lot longer but yes the physical stress is not there. you could just drive it from a chair. and you could probably get the kids to drive it and not a strimmer. Though the cost is pretty high from what i remember

Oh of course!!! This thing is not something that I would ever have been able to buy. BUT, it’s now in my possession, so the real question is would I rather have the cash by selling it used? Or do I keep it?? At the moment….. i am absolutely keeping it!! UPDATE: haha, just wanted to say that I was mowing the rest of the pond with this thing…. And a freaking water moccasin slithered out of the tall stuff that I was mowing!!!! YUP! I am keeping it!!!

The whole point of homesteading is to get away from technology and restraints as much as possible

So no automatic watering timers? No waterlines? No tractors? No milking machines? No InstantPot?
