Just bought one today. And barely noticeable when concealing. Its comfortable for me. So far so good . I do appreciate you saying from the start that its a good gun and not fully bashing it. I used to have a taurus g2s now im a glock owner. I feel safer and more ready for anything.

so buy a g48 and then w/ a g43 you can mix-n-match for 4 different set-ups?
@DailyCarrySolutions5 жыл бұрын
Technically, yes. The G48/G43x frame is the same. My case for the G43/43x combo is that it keeps you from having to buy an additional holster to house the G48 slide since it is a bit longer, and will not fit in a standard G43 holster. With the G43/G43x combo, you can change capacity and size without having to buy an additional holster.

Is the 48 reliable?
@DailyCarrySolutions4 жыл бұрын
Yes, in fact it is as reliable as all of the other 9mm offerings from Glock. Great to carry, but if you own a 43 already, swapping the lower and obtaining extra mags is an easier (and cheaper) way of getting higher capacity instead of having to buy a 48 along with the extra expenses that come with it like mags and items like holsters, sights, etc.

Disagree! Sold both of my Glock 43x pistols. 43x too floppy when shooting. 48 much more stable. Both wife and I now use a Glock 48s with Shield Arms mags for EDC.

as long as it works well for you, and you train with it, then that's fantastic. I'm really glad it has worked out! I need to get my significant other to head to the range with me more haha

The Glock 48 with the Shield magazine is a better Glock 19!
@DailyCarrySolutions3 жыл бұрын
Here's my response to that: the 43x and 48 both accept Shield mags, but aside from being expensive (and in short supply), you also now have metal mags that force you to update the mag release to a steel one, as well as the choice to only use OEM or only use the Shield Mags. It even states it on their website: "We recommend swapping out your plastic OEM mag catch with our steel mag catch. Here's why: shieldarms.com/s15-talk-mag-catches If you don't swap your mag catch you may have reliability issues. If you use another manufacturer's mag catch you may have reliability issues." I much prefer OEM and have had no issues whatsoever with OEM or the Shield magazines, but only use the Shield magazines for range time.

@@DailyCarrySolutions they work 100% for me at over 1k rounds
@DailyCarrySolutions3 жыл бұрын
They work 100% for me too, but if the manufacturer is posting information telling you what will happen if you don’t swap out the mag catch/release to a metal one, it’s a good indication that the mags will eventually cause the OEM mag release/catch to fail.

Had a 43, got rid of it Not enough length or diameter for a good Combat grip I guess I could have bought one of those little rubber grip things like on yours Look it up 48 today, and like Goldilocks, decided it was just right 😁 Your Arguments for buying the 43 and the 43x frame makes sense though
@DailyCarrySolutions4 жыл бұрын
Hi Art - the Hogue grip works great for it. If you still had the 43, I had an extra I could've sent you to try out. Another option to add a shelf for some grip is the GeePlate, which I got to check out here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bamVd4qYocaUbrs A buddy of mind came by with his 48 which is a fantastic firearm, but for people with the 43, buying the complete lower and a few mags makes it a quick change and go whenever you need more capacity, or you need to scale down for deep carry. Thanks for checking out the video!

@@artwebb6939 Before getting rid of your 43,, did you look for any pinky extensions?
@DailyCarrySolutions4 жыл бұрын
extensions work great on it (I run Pearce +1's on my G43) , but for some that just want more default capacity, a 43x or 48 may be the way to go. I enjoy having a smaller 43 for it's small print but have no qualms swapping out the lower and switching to 10 (or 15rd) mags when I wear winter clothes or am in an area that allows me to dress for it appropriately. Only issue with the 15rd mags is that they are metal and can wear out the OEM mag release as well as the fact that I just prefer carrying OEM mags/springs since thats how they were tested from factory, but for the range, you better believe those 15's are going in there! :) haha
@artwebb69394 жыл бұрын
@@techti8792 no, I thought about extended magazines, but ultimately decided to get a G48 instead It wasn't just length, it was the narrowness too Of course a hogue sleeve could have helped with that I wear an extra large glove, so I have pretty big hands The 43 x and 48 are semi double stack, so the grips a little bit bigger around

@DailyCarrySolutions4 жыл бұрын
To be honest, I like it alot, but having the 43, it was logical to snag a frame for the 43x/48 and a few mags instead of buying a 48. If I didn't have a 43 and wanted 1 firearm to carry yearly, it'd be a tossup between the 43x and the 48. both good quality guns!
