Hey Dennis, I pre-ordered the Juniper in Quicksilver with white/black interior with all the extras. My thought process is the $7500 is going away I heard the speaker of the house specifically talking about this. Don’t know for sure, I was told I could possibly get the car anytime after February 24 to the first week in March.

But it's still a HW4 (AI4 as the Tesla marketing types call it) car. I'd wait for the AI5 cars if you prefer a more FSD-capable "loaded" one. Besides, this isn't even the performance trim. lol

@@WarpedTrekker Sure, HW4 is great already if you're basing it on FSD vids published by certain Mr. Zero Intervention on YT for the last 6 months or so. But HW4 isn't all that great in real life.. as can be seen in this clip: kzbin.infoiT5f14he6S4?si=O5TZaByUIpAfZmv1 my 2024 MYP operating under FSD v12.5.6.3 managed to test my driving skill in a split second maneuver. Fortunately, I was in a performance trim that has OUTSTANDING road holding capability + 3.5-sec 0-60 time -- a small price to pay. Less range isn't much of a factor these days with Tesla Superchargers everywhere!

Of course you have a choice, Tesla increases and decreases prices all the time, and once the launch edition demand subsides they'll offer cheaper versions, just like Cybertruck.

I'm a latest and greatest guy, I am leasing a Polestar 2 that ends in Apr. I ordered the MY Juniper. The FSD alone was a no brainer. Why wouldn't you want the best FSD in the US?

The launch series doesn't justify the price tag in Europe, which doesn't include FSD or all colour options or 19"wheels. I'm disappointed after months of waiting. I ordered Model-3 Highland UltraRed, which is more value for money.

Yes, it will go away, but if you don't need an expensive EV now.. it might come back... you can get the old looking Y cheaper, Then 4 years from now or maybe Trump comes to his senses and brings back the $7,500 and then get the Juniper.. Juniper ain't going nowhere because of how long refresh and or complete new design for Tesla takes..😊

No one knows if or when the 7.5k US tax credit will end.

Tax credits won’t go away over night . They will have to give some time to ppl file / claim taxes incase they gave not taken upfront discount. Also in Q3 and Q4 Tesla may lower the price by themselves as the tax credit of 7.5k does not benefit Tesla .
