Yeah, the previous generation got 4.2s for the AWD LR with accel boost so not much difference. I believe the new Y has the same power as the previous gen at ~384 hp, so the 0.1 sec improvement is probably from the wheels/aero

6:11 I think the speed they’re saying includes the acceleration booster as on the older version. It was 4.2 seconds and now it’s 4.1.

My favorite Teala accessory is the weather seat mats. Especially in the winter with the snow, it was really good to have weather mat to catch the water and salt from walking outside and not have to worry about cleaning the carpet mat that was included.

Bought the model Y last month with the deals they had going - 0% APR, 3 months free FSD and supercharging. Got one with 271 miles demo car that slashed $3500 off in addition to the referral discount. @@biplav32 No regrets when I take a minute to think about the December offer. 0% APR does not come around often these days. All said and done, I paid about $42930. The latest model cost way more than that and I feel the 2024 model is the best or revised version of model Y until this new release.

im not fully sold on it, the front and back are angular yet the body is round. The door handle still has that cheap tetris shape to it to remind you how lazy tesla is in redesigning the entire car. Battery is ok... until i found that the Zeekr change from 10 to 80% in 10 minutes. So where are the major improvements because I don't think its in the looks department lol. I almost wished they woud have just redesign a bigger model 3 for for the Y and using the same design features

For your channel, go for the Juniper refresh for the new content you can provide for us. For other folks, if this is your first Tesla, and you don't absolutely need the latest and greatest, don't care for Full Self Driving, and/or would like to save some money, the outgoing Model Y being thousands cheaper will still be a great value. Both currently qualify for the tax credit if you qualify for it as well based on your martial status and income. One reason I'm recommending the older one is that the Juniper so far will have the same charging curve at Superchargers, meaning you'll likely cap out at 250 kW at the V3/V4 superchargers. It seems to be the same battery pack and motors, so performance-wise it'll be about the same until we know more. But they didn't make the refreshed Model 3 any faster at charging either, so I doubt they'd add the newer stuff like 48v system and 800v battery pack like the Cybertruck has until the next refresh a few years from now. If you already own a Model Y, unless you absolutely want the new one now, I'd suggest waiting until at least the 2nd year of production. These new ones are likely going to have issues that Tesla will gradually fix as time goes by. I'm still bummed about not having a heated steering wheel in my 2020 Model Y Performance with an early VIN 14xxx, which would've came in very handy in these cold days many folks experienced. Mine also didn't have the Bioweapon Defense Mode, but I was able to get it retrofitted onto my car, which cost me $378 when I got it.

Great video! You made the comparison super-clear! As for the giveaway, the reason I think you should pick me for a prize is because, in my community, I'm one of the only Tesla Model Y/EV owners and tons of my neighbors and friends always have questions. Whenever I get a new product or accessory, it helps me to show them hands-on and educates them on EVs. It's helping a few people in my area now start to buy more EVs.
