If I was thinking avout getting a YM, I'd rather get a oris aquis cherry red dial. That red dial is top 3 red dial watches of all time and similar bezel, also way cheaper.

@amimrie Obviously YOU don’t know why the Yacht-Master bezel is bi-directional. It is to help with timing in competitive sailing (yachting) not necessarily diving. But I’m pretty sure you do neither.

The submariner only turns in one direction because it is a dive watch. You don't want it to turn both directions or you may lose timing on your oxygen. Dude - get off KZbin if you don't know what you are talking about.

If you don’t dive, the bidirectional bezel is more convenient. And the yacht master has never been a dive watch, its water resistance is only 100m. It seems like you are the one don’t know what you are talking about. And really, how many people dive with a submariner

The submariners is a tool watch for diving. So if you’re using it for diving, you can really screw up and lose track of your oxygen left if the bezel rotates in both directions and you screw up. Don’t you think that a diving watch should be made so you don’t die when you’re diving with it?

Serious divers use other watches for diving and not submariners, and with that said, yachtmaster is also capable of diving, at least diving that submariner users are practicing, 5-10 meters max, or more if they are mobsters who get killed and thrown in water weighted with stone…
