This is exactly the comparison I was surprised so many people didn't do, thanks for doing it. I keep seeing S22+ vs S22, or S22+ vs Ultra, or S21fe vs Pixel 6, but if you want to stay with a Samsung and that larger screen size, I was curious about how these stacked up against each other. The S22 is too small and battery is too weak for my taste, so these were the two I cared about. Glass back means nothing to me since every phone I have has a case on the back.

I ended up buying a S22+, but was very close to getting the S21FE. The only reason I didn't was because by turning in my S20FE, I was able to get the phone covered by bill credits over three years with Verizon and was able to get the 256GB version. I was thinking of keeping this for about three years anyways. I know the modern in this phone was going to be better than the one I currently had on my S20FE and thought it would be better than the one on the S21FE. I actually probably would have just picked the regular S22, but I thought the 3700mah battery was just going to be terrible. Probably wouldn't have bothered me if it was 4000mah battery. I did prefer the slight smaller size and weight of the S21FE vs S22+ and while nice looking, I think a glass back on a phone is a stupid idea with regards to durability. I think the screen on the S22+ is probably the best screen I've ever had on a phone. I'm ok with it not being a quadHD screen. For the most part I did like my S20FE as I do think phones should have microSD slots and I greatly prefer flat screens to the curved screens which are terrible if you need to touch at the curve. My S20FE had the ghost touch issue, so that's why I wanted to upgrade from that phone. No ghost touches so far on this phone. If I didn't have a phone to trade in, the Samsung S21FE would have been my choice of phone to get.

So, stupid question perhaps, is the S22 an in-between of the two? I'm in Canada, and the options are pretty lacking, where I'm at. I can't really afford the +, or ultra. I have the S20 FE. I want the better camera, but I find the lack of SD a huge down point.
@TechOdyssey2 жыл бұрын
The S22s definitely have better cameras than the S21 FE, but that doesn’t mean the FE has bad cameras.
@OutlawCaliber132 жыл бұрын
@@TechOdyssey I have the S20 FE, currently. I was pretty impressed, but I like the higher mp ability on the s22, and up. I didn't really see a heavy benefit going from S20 Fe to S21 FE, but I could be wrong. I was just wondering if the S22 is "good enough" on it's own. The S21 FE doesn't have SD ability either, so if I upgraded, it'd be for the better picture ability...... If I could get it, I'd probably just go for the S20 Ultra, and call it a day. lol

I just got the S22 Plus, and I'm not satisfied. The sacrifice in pixel density and resolution is noticeable (the Verizon rep assured me I wouldn't notice, but I do... the picture is less impressive than on my old Note 10+.) Just not a fan. I think I'm going to step up to the S22 Ultra, unless someone knows a phone that's just as good display at less price. 256 gb storage at a minimum is needed.

Would you buy the s21fe over the pixel 6? right now (not sure for how long) at Best Buy s21fe is $499. Pixel 6 is $549. Can either phone be felt vibrating in your pocket? How bad is the bloatware on s21fe? Because the pixel 6 basically has no bloatware. correct?

I think when reviewing these phones you should look at it from the perspective that most people who get these phones will be doing so on contract and not spending the money out right. That being the case when we are only talking about a £5-8 pounds difference per month the choices are a little different. I would personally pay the extra £5 per month and get the phone which is superior in many ways. Is not the same as having to find an extra £300 to buy one over the other
@TechOdyssey2 жыл бұрын
People buying the phone can makes those types of decisions. I can’t be going around checking deals and financing specials for every carrier in the U.S., plus internationally, which people may not qualify for or may be for special deals like adding new lines and trade ins. That’s why I talk about the actual MSRP. Sometimes I do mention financing stuff or trade in deals but it’s on a case by case basis or when they first come out. I’m not a salesman. People can easily find out that information through their carrier is they want to know what their monthly payment is.
