I came to the conclusion a few weeks ago that you talk about in this video. The only cheapie I wear with any regularity is L’Aventure and that is only because my wife likes the sweeter take on Aventus that it provides. Otherwise I have a few dozen cheap fragrances that gather dust while I reach for my same five niche fragrances over and over.

Layton and Oud For Greatness are 2 of my absolute favorites. They both blew me away the first time I smelled them unlike frankly most hyped fragrances. They smell so unique and last forever which to me means they’re good value and unless you’re around a bunch of frag heads you’re NEVER going to run into someone else wearing either.

I agree.. I started out with a dozen fragrances and now I have gravitated to about 4 that I wear frequently, and what to you know? It's the higher end stuff. That doesn't mean that you just spend wrecklessly. There are expensive fragrances that aren't worth it...but in general, you get what you pay for.

I agree on most of these except the Sauvage Elixir and Oud for Greatness comparison. I can't recall one day of me wearing Elixir without being told that I smell rich or asked what I am wearing. Also, Elixir is more wearable across all seasons compared to OFG despite the intense smell. And both of them are very $$$ and around the same price point.

Montale uses very powerful synthetic aroma-chemicals, I don't think the brand offers particularly high quality perfumery

I will admit that Oud For Greatness is amazing and I love it but Oud For Glory isnt a bad dupe. It is a cool weather fragrance but it wowed me in high heat as well with 2 sprays.

@@Gorevek Lattafa Oud for Glory and Afnan Supremacy in Oud. I'm actually keeping the Afnan as I find it to be a little more middle eastern, but the Lattafa gives me a hint of burnt rubber throughout and the dry down is nothing like Initio imo. I also tried PDM Haltane but enjoy Initio more.

Hawas is a banger for sure. I can’t get enough of it. My current bottle is empty now I have my back up bottle. longevity and projection is off the roof. People will ask what you’re wearing. Affordable alternatives request. House of Lattafa. I heard that Hawas alternative would be Lattafa Najdia, Oud for Greateness would be Lattafa Oud for Glory or Lattafa Qa'eed. It is been said that Oud for Greateness is infact a lot more synthetic than Lattafa's Oud for Glory. These are really cheap in my country I really need your opinion Omar.

Dang I started hunting for that reflection 45 and found it at luckyscent for $500.0 I vowed I would never spend that kind of money on a scent as 220 for a 50 ml was extreme. But I’m seriously consenting to it. I also must say that there is a scent that I have never heard anyone review… it’s called plum in congac by scents of wood. And it smells amazing. I had to fragranatica that one before I bought it it was expensive for the size I figured. But the choice of refillable bottle was awesome. You should check them out Omar.

Chanel Platinum Egoiste is another alternative to MB Legend if you want something a bit more mature. There are also similarities with GIT.

@@thomasmac8563 they have some similar prominent notes - primarily lavender, sandalwood and oak moss. Smell them side by side and you can detect the similarities. Legend has a fruity sweetness completely absent in PE. As I said in my OP, PE has some of that DNA but also leans towards GIT.

Uden and Halloween Man X are very very different. Man X is warm and spicy with vanilla and coffee being the essence of the fragrance. Uden has a delicious citrusy opening with a woody heart and the coffee and vanilla just coming out in the base, it's fresh and waaaay more versatile. I see Uden as a niche Chanel Allure Homme, if you want a cheaper alternative there's the Nikos Sculpture, but that one has Tonka bean instead of coffee, way less interesting

I got the Oud wood for 104€ now I got the dupe for 19,98€ (50% sale) and my gf doesn’t smell any difference and the performance from the dupe lasting longer then the original. I’ll never buy TF originals again it’s a total scam because even the quality of the bottle is higher than the original with it’s plastic sprayer.

@@tengahhidup I got the N916 (tobacco oud) N943 (fckn fabulous) N700 (aventus) N902 (oud wood) from eclat because the last 3 times I bought the TF oud wood was really disappointing because the very low performance. I don’t have the original tobacco oud fckn fabulous and aventus so I couldn’t compare the scent but I did a comparison with the Oud wood and it’s almost equal and the performance is much better of the dupe you can’t make this up without sale it’s usually 40€ which is also very low for a edp with that quality but with the 50% sale for 19,98€ it’s insane. I love the oud scent and will try soon also the lattafa badee oud it’s the dupe from initio ouds 90ml 280€ Parfum but no way I spend that much money anymore.

Anyone interested in cool water would NEVER buy GIT. First off, that’s not even a top 20 fragrance. Maybe if it was too 5 must haves you could make that argument. Detour Noir is the perfect clone of Layton for $30 and must be owned of only to layer with Layton to extend the bottle use. Legend Spirt smells NOTHING like Hawas. I love both and would definitely suggest both but they aren’t even in the same ballpark. Halloween Man is NOT a coffee fragrance. Montale Ristretto is the way to go for coffee if you want that. What the F***?!?! Sauvage Elixir is NOTHING like Oud for greatness. Guys! Please do not substitute this! First off, Elixir is absolutely insane and you only need 1-2 sprays. It’s a huge compliment getter. Huge! Oud for greatness should never be blind bought. It’s rough. Amouage is NOT a blind buy cologne house. I feel like this guy can’t smell anything. Cool Water smells like fruity puke diluted with water + plastic + Vicks inhaler. I don’t get the comparison to Green Irish Tweed. It’s very woodsy, pine with dank notes. It’s a heavier fragrance. Not tried the newest formulation but from my sample, it’s a beastly spicy Tobacco scent with a gorgeous Oud and vanilla dry down, Alexandria Hafez 1984 is a safer bet! (Not a clone but some similarities)
