I love her entire acting sequence in this scene, from the dinner table to the end. She's perfectly choreograph a mixture of a happy mum, a mum in disbelief, a surprised mum, a loving mum, a scared mum, yet all while displaying absolutely trust and love in Bob odenkirks character even though he suddenly got serious. Her acting shows that no matter how long they have been married, she still knows and understands her husbands inner toughness. You can tell her character deep down fully trusts her husband and sees him as a protector so she just does what he says because she knows he will protect her and the kids. As much as I love the action in this sequence, her acting is equally as sublime.

Today, in reality, teens would be freaking out and asking wayyy too many questions rather than listening to Dad. Most kids today have zero respect for elders/parents. Teens know Everything!

Some teens lol I remember on a few occasions when my dad got quiet and gave quick and sharp instructions and me and my brothers quickly responded knowing what he meant, but that’s because he built that trust and understanding with us. We knew if he went to go check out a suspicious noise, or gave instructions we would follow his lead, because we trusted him to do what needed to be done. And in time, as we grew older, he trusted us to have his back in those moments. Not that anything bad ever happened, but the point is that parents are responsible to create trust with their children and children bare the responsibility to trust their parents. Neither will work without the other. Sermon done😌😂

I like how that kettle reaches boiling just as he grabs it ( a little audio efx to highlight it's boiling water while keeping the home quiet for the invasion). Believe it or not, they do in fact have low-gunpowder specialty rounds SPECIFICALLY to be low-noise. They are typically quieter than a suppressor would make the weapon. If all you are using it for is powdering a standard door lock or frame, you can absolutely get away with low noise.

What works in this movie is Bob's super powerful charisma. The rest is clichés and stereotypes that we've seen a million times before. Nothing special in my opinion. In this scene it's weird to me how the main character fights with everyone one by one, they shoot, fight very loudly, but the bandits still come running for backup strictly one by one, and after an interval of time, as if they were walking around the house and didn't know "where's Bob?!", and there are a lot of such ridiculousness in the movie.
