One of the “techniques” I’m currently trying is smallish bags & then attaching 1-2 MOLLE (spanker, etc) drop down pouches for quick deploy & increased carrying capacity. So far so good!

Having bowhunted for over 30 years I have different bags for different purposes. Bug Out, emergency protection, get home, 5 night survival, etc. Downsizing is easy for a real (non tree stand) bow hunter because if you are good, you know how to survive and thrive. I suggest anyone interested in sustained off-grid living learn and master bow hunting. Cheers!

The best "bigger small bag" that you might never have heard of is the Emdom USA Baker Street bag. Not cheap yet worth EVERY penny! It is a modern take on the WW2 M34 Musette bag.

I really like chest packs, I just went back to using Ribz. My original was wore out, so I ordered a new one. I get a lot of compliments on it too, lol. Sometimes I throw my crossbody backpack on too just so I can carry a couple larger items.

Shoot! I forgot that I wanted a dendrite. Small bags like this are nice for farmers markets and malls and stuff like that. Good overview!

I carry my purse, but I really wish Maxpedition would design a ladies top handle purse that could also convert to a ladies but pack with a lot of organization, and colors!!!! Maybe a pink chamo!

The mic needs hook and loop so you can leave it plugged in and stick it on the front hook and loop section. All the cable management n junky bits could also very neatly be secured inside the internal main compartments inner pocket sleeves on either sides of the main radio.

Carry more, and carry SMART. Have a main bag that remains close at hand in the car during the trip, but in it a high-speed-low-drag 'core' bag that goes with you while away from the car.
