Advice for the kilt guy, I'm in a Scottish marching band and we do Christmas parades. Wear skin-coloured thermal tights and/or shorts underneath, as well as high socks/hose which can cover your leg up to under your knee. I've been cold on parade a lot but my legs are never the issue.

I’m also from Victoria, Australia and we would never let someone think we died in a bushfire! We’ll definitely joke about it though, it’s definitely a coping mechanism. If this was a couple years ago, it was likely during the Black Summer of 2019-2020 when everyone was really on edge because half the country was burning. We’re all concerned here in Australia because weather conditions this summer look like they could be as bad the Black Summer (different), although Victoria shouldn’t be the most effected. I lived through the Black Saturday fires in 2009 (I had the car packed, ready to leave because there was a fire a couple kilometres away) and I had some friends lose their house, including one in Kinglake and our school’s campsite near Whittlesea. I’ll never forget how I felt that day, or what the aftermath was like with the years spent rebuilding the school’s campsite. It was the deadliest fire in Australian history, with 173 people loosing their life, and entire towns getting wiped out.

2:08 - I live in Brazil and we have reeeeally hot Christmasses, but we still obsessed with the whole "winter wonderland aesthetic" because it looks nice on the movies, so Santa Claus [or for us Papai Noel (translating as Daddy Noel)] will just be sweaty under the big red coat while we decorate our lovely plastic trees in a way it looks snowy. When my husband and I started dating, I had no money, like barely enough to eat. I had started a small baking business from my home, so I made my then boyfriends family all their favourite sweet treats for christmas presents, they were all really happy because it wasn't just here's a random object I saw one day and it was a more thoughtful idea that actually took a lot of time and effort (not saying buying gifts doesn't but you know what I mean). As far as I know, they all love me as their own, so if you're struggling, just make something thoughtful, and if they are normal people, they'll still love you all the same I had the playmobil victorian mansion and all of the furniture packs, but my mum got rid of it when my sibling was born, still bitter about it. To buy it all back now would be £500+ 😭 I want it so bad
